Very helpful staff.
During the night there was the sound of dripping water. Seemed to come from inside the wall. ? Faulty air con.
Ideal situation for town & country. Plenty of parking space. Clean & spacious modern bedroom with all the essentials. Pleasant bar with drinks at fair prices. Excellent dinner & breakfast served in a delightful, modern restaurant. Staff cheerful, efficient, & helpful, for whom nothing was too much trouble.
Nothing to complain about at all.
Breakfast was very good. Very handy for the M6 j14. No perceptible traffic noise.
Very noisy fan, ongoing decorating, not great vfm.
Excellent shower with great pressure and a huge shower head. Towels OK. Food good.
For a national chain hotel this was OK; no complaints.
Welcoming smile, warm room on a cold day. Large car park. Did not use the facilities as my brothers` house is around the corner.
Brought back memories of 50 years ago, when I used to go there as a teenage telegram boy, for upmarket weddings. A nice drive down avenue of trees, no noisy traffic.
Excellent breakfast. Good special deals available
As a previous visitor, I know the location is good for us, handy for M6. On a winter night, our room was wonderfully cozy on arrival. Buffet breakfast is generally the same but a very good choice. Other meals good quality. Sky TV, hot water 24 hours, very little noise from other occupiers, free wifi. I found the bed comfy (my wife didn't). Rooms also contained 3 chairs and adequate drinks facilities.
Wifi not great, didn't offer an option to pay for more bandwidth. My wife didn't find the bed very comfortable, although I did.
Easy to find from the motorway, easy free parking, good free internet and a good buffet style hot breakfast. Bar on site and restaurant.
Some of the bar and waiting staff were young and inexperienced and although polite, need better training and management.Poorly finished and furnished bedroom and bathroom. Old, tired and out of date but with all the necessary facilities. Restaurant and reception/bar areas quite chilly.
We have just moved to the area and it was a very good overnight stop before moving in next day.
ROOMS WERE COLD ON ARRIVAL.RESTAURANT WAS COLD
We have taken to breaking a long journey from home to Cumbria at Tillington Hall Hotel. It is very conveniently located near the M6 exit 14 and is perfectly satisfactory for an overnight stop.
The continental breakfast offering is not the most imaginative - but quite adequate.
Close to M6. Easy access to relatives living in Stafford. Ample parking. Breakfasts always acceptable.
Room 623 very disappointing. First time we have been allocated room in older part of hotel. Hopefully not again.
Location and peaceful nights sleep. Friendly staff.
Unable to turn on TV, had to get receptionist to show us the 5 button process to enable us to turn TV on. Surely this can be fixed. Friends in other bedroom had the same problem.
Nice cheerful place fish supper was excellent,
All the builders coming in for breakfast....a table of loud workmen in building clothes coming in for breakfast was a mild annoyance
Smell in first room we had and plug in bath didn't work Breakfast eggs very very poor
Size and comfort of rooms. Breakfast good too.
Staff nice but not enough of them . Had to wait at bar as staff were multi tasking.
Helpful friendly staff
Draughty bedroom door and window, old metal window frame gap in lower corner would not shut fully, not double glazed. Room was noisy sounded like fans or air con, shower was useless not enough water pressure to wash your hair. Electronic access card had to be reset every evening on return from work annoying having walked up five flights of stairs. Badly in need of a refurbishment.
location - nice and quiet.
Drafty rooms, single glazed windows with metal frames. Huge gap between door and door frame. Draft from old style windows. Shower not working properly - could not get hot water of it - it was on the top floor. Breakfast limited to full English only + some yoghurts and fruits.
The food was very poor!
Two easy chairs in the bedroom
Could not see to read whilst sitting in the easy chairs. There needed to be a standard lamp in the corner by the TV. Breakfast - nothing for the person who does not want a cooked breakfast but would like continental. Only toast available. There needs to be pastries etc. The scrambled egg looked disgusting and there was no alternative.
Central location but quiet. Good food in the restaurant
Bedside light didn't work. Shower/bath drained very slowly. Pillow too high and hard
Room service food, bed and room decent.
Single glazed windows so more noise from road and motorway.
reasonably low cost room but would have paid more for a hotel with less rowdy occupants
Extremely noisy, had very little sleep. Food was so tough we couldn't eat our meals. Excellent hotels just up the road which we wish we had booked instead.
