Good clean comfortable room. Rooms quiet at night. I didn't like the fact that the Hotel was full of men who were allowed to monopolise the bar in the evenings and to continually use foul language, totally unchallenged. We were forced to leave the bar. Even after complaining to reception we were invited to sit in the foyer and have our drink, there was no suggestion of having a word with the men using foul language, and asking them to stop so that ordinary people could sit in the bar and have a drink. I thought it was disgusting.

Very easy to get to and pleasantly quiet. Room a little dated but fine. No hot water in the morning meant an envigorating shower, the like of which I last had camping! Call me fusy but I do like a good old fashioned fried egg for breakfast - only scrambled egg available! Price at top end of bracket but value ok.

Very comfortable room - staff very helpful with taxis. Dining room service first class Would have liked a fried egg for breakfast but you can't win them all - the rest of the breakfast was excellent

Waiting 90 mins for over priced, sub standard bar food. Paying for a paper that would not be delivered at the time agreed I.E. check out 0800 Sunday. Being told I could have an early breakfast when I couldn'T. Having to get my room keys reset each time we used either room - in short the front desk was ineffective Clearly when the focus is on a wedding, the rest of the service suffers

Presentation of the room was good, in the morning breakfast was very good which I was pleased about.. but a friendly hello or good morning from the staff wouldn’t go a miss. I was disappointed upon arriving that the water was off throughout the hotel, I do understand these things happen however after travelling 300 miles from Dorset the need to freshen up was of a great... I became more disappointed when we were unable to flush our toilet and when the water was accessible it was only the cold which led to our shower dripping all night.. In the morning the hot water was still unavailable which is not the best way to start the day and again left me hugely disappointed.. though the room was very nice it was very hot maybe due to it being over the kitchen area

Nothing The most disappointing stay in a hotel we've ever had. Black water coming out of the taps, no hot water. Mediocre breakfast. Uncomfortable room, outdated decor, grubby, damp smelling hallways.

We didn't like anything best! No hot water in our room on Saturday morning. Hotel admitted maintenance was being carried out but we should not have been affected. Had to go up a floor to have a shower. Staff seemed very disinterested. Had to shout and look for staff every time we wanted a drink on the Friday night in the bar. Breakfast was poor service as well considering there were only two other people in the restaurant and we were being waited on by the Duty Manager.Would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very little to commend the hotel, it is adequate as a quick stopover. It needs a total refurb and is dated by modern standards. The table for breakfast had glass marks on it so had not been cleaned properly and it just generally came over as poor.

The room was cold and radiator would not switch on. Breakfast on the first morning was cold and some bacon was uncooked which I commented to the staff in the restaurant. Second morning everything hot except baked beans. Also tap in wash hand basin was running constantly. Not enough choice of beers in the bar.

All the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The meals were very good. I was particularly impressed with the bathroom; the shower was well fitted out with a rubber mat and a grab bar. I am in my eighties so was very grateful for those safety measures. All in all, I could recommend the hotel without reservation.

Only caters for people on business...not suitable for families...Only marginly better than a travel lodge....So it should be a lot cheaper...Staff pleasant ...But not particularly friendly.....Bar and lounge.....a little bleak.....Not suitable for families....Was happy with previous visits when it had swimming facilities etc......would not book again......unless at a lot cheaper price....location was very convenient to visit family.....But still would not stay again......unless it was cheaper...

Its location for a university visit Decor is slightly dated, in our case there was mould in a corner of the bathroom, the sink plug was'nt secured, and the toilet paper was very poor quality. Doulble glazing would be a benefit and curtains that do not cover the radiator would ensure that the heat goes into the room and not to the window. All were minor problems and would not stop us returning.

Clean room, comfortable bed. Value for money meal in the restaurant with a very good bottle of wine served at just the right temperature. Pleasant bar/lounge with comfortable seating. A good, quiet location just off the motorway. All one could expect from a 3* hotel at a bargain price. Nothing to dislike - a good value 3* hotel.
