Charming couple to greet us. Excellent quality of bed, bed linen and towels. Relaxed atmosphere. Breakfast menu good.
Rather a small bedroom for the price we paid . The toilet sloped to one side when we sat on it so that make things rather interesting! The approach to the guest house was not good as we had to park the car across the road and walk up a rather steep slope to the front door.
Helpfulness, very comfy rooms, excellent breakfast. Beautiful surroundings.
Great location with fantastic views over the river and proximity to Tintern Abbey Bed and room exceptionally comfortable and relaxing One of the best breakfasts ever eaten - the kippers with marmalade have to be tried and the homemade bread and jams / marmalades were fantastic Great hosts who made us feel very welcome during our short stay and we will be using this B&B again
There was absolutely nothing to dislike
The view of the River Wye, especially the dawn
There was a pervasive smell, not one you could ignore...
Delightful, laid back couple with a gentle way about them offering genuine hospitality Tea and biscuits by the fire when we arrived Beautiful, calm surrounds, incl location opp river Lovely bedroom w all facilities and attention to detail Information about sights and walks, and real care taken about our plans Fantastic bespoke breakfast! Relaxed app
nothing, it was fantastic!
Log fire Cooked breakfast with home baked bread and home made jam Made to feel very welcome Large comfortable bed Very clean

Such a lovely friendly couple with great recommendations, cosy and beautifully decorated rooms and delicious breakfast! Many options to choose from. Thanks again!
great food..liked it all
We were very pleased with our room, good breakfast, and the welcome that we got on arrival. Anika and Ian, our hosts, were very helpful and nice people. The `Icing on the cake` for me though was being able to fill a 5ltr. container with water from their spring- which meant a great cup of tea each morning for a few days after we arrived back home. Thanks, Mike and Pauline
Great view over the river. Easy access from Chepstow Racecourse (which was why we were in the area). Very friendly and helpful owners.
Bathroom small. Maybe too helpful with advice and tries too hard with the range of food, I don't want to choose between 6 types of marmalade first thing in the morning.
Excellent breakfast comfortable room
Bathroom small bore toilet was very noisy.
All of it but breakfast was memorable.
Nothing we can remember.
A warm welcome and great help with bags and information. An absolutely delicious freshly cooked breakfast. Comfortable bed made up as requested.
The bathroom was rather 'compact'!
Owners were lovely
like the smell from the river
Warm welcome; excellent food
some issues with the plumbing need sorting
Excellent B&B ,great view from bedroom window and we had the biggest bed I have ever slept in.The breakfast was the tastiest I have had in my life, would stay again if I was in the area.
Wonderful welcome Incredible breakfast cooked to order with unbelievable choices of FRESH juices, home-made jams and organic yoghurt and fresh fruit salad. Best location to experience Tintern Abbey and South Wales
Bathroom was somewhat small
Bed was soo comfy with immaculate high quality linen, meant a very restful nights sleep. Cleanliness was 10/10, and the perfect breakfast with organic produce and homemade breads was scrumptious.
Old world charm in delightful setting
The owners were very friendly & welcoming. The house is set in a beautiful spot, within easy reach (by car) of Chepstow & Monmouth. Breakfast was excellent, with home-made bread.
Wi-Fi was patchy in the room, though, to be fair, they pointed this out, and recommended using the sitting room if it became a problem.
All the rooms of the old house are furnished with love, the landlords were helpful und could give many tips for excursions in this area. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection (fruits, fish, eggs, bacon, waffles, homemade bread, jam and marmelade and juices).
The B & B was just half way to Newquay, so was ideal for a stopover. The location is excellent with views of the river. Within walking distance of pubs for a meal and the best breakfast. Didnt need to eat again till the evening!!
The only problem was trying to get up from the table after the enormous and delicious breakfast.
Breakfasts are excellent. Bathrooms very clean. Bed linen very clean.
