duvet a little thick for the time of year
Friendly host Very clean Beautiful views
The location its very peaceful and we had a good view from our bedroom window. The owners Ian and Aneka were very friendly hosts and the food was excellent. The room was very clean and very comfortable.
This B+B is absolutely fantastic! It is a lovely old house, the people are very friendly and helpful and there is a great choice for breakfast. And even the sausages are good!
Room Bed Location Breakfast
A great location -overlooking the river. A truly fabulous choose for breakfast...!
Rooms at the back slightly dark.... but i liked the private entrance too !
Our Hosts were lovely and very keen to ensure we were comfortable. This place has oodles of charm, character and warmth - if you want a hyper clean/souless hotel then don't come here. We could hardly move after b.fast and the array of jams etc was quite bewildering. We had a great stay!
The quite steep climb up would be quite difficult for some and also having the car park across the road could be quite difficult if you have young ones when the area is very busy.
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The unique river view.
Welcome by host, information on where to eat, delicious breakfast, extensive list of jams to go with toast
The beautiful, cosy room, the magnificent breakfast
The bedroom was fair, the food was good and the landlords were pleasant
Were late checking in as we had to wait an hour and a half as nobody was in! This made us late for the event we were attending. There was no apology for making 10 people, in 3 groups, wait 90 minutes to check in. Also the common areas of the hotel are quite smelly and dirty. I would never book again.
The beds were very comfortable- great pillows and linen too. The view was magnificent from the front bedrooms. For breakfast we had a lot of choice- including kippers and a variety of unusual jams. There was free parking and an easy walk to the abbey.
The toilet handle didn't work properly and the shower cubicle was small. There was a really weird smell about the place. The carpet was stained in a lot of places.
Warm welcome, extra mile to please, fantastic breakfast with home made produce, would definitely return
Old world charm, comfortable room, excellent views and walks, helpful and friendly hosts, excellent breakfast
Not a lot - decor won't be to everyones taste and the low doorways take some getting used to if you're over about 5'8"!
staff very friendly, breakfast excellent.
Twin room very small and bathroom tiny with low door. Shower inadequate. Not good value compared to similar we have stayed at.
From the moment you were greeted at the door felt like a home away from home. Charming property owners went out of their way to ensure you had a good stay. Offering to book table for dinner with excellent suggestion. Breakfast was to die for the only thing you have to work out is where to put the large portions. Definite one to return too well worth the money. Thank you Anika and Ian.
Lovely spot to stay and wonderful walks
The beautiful historic building in a really pretty village and area.
Beautiful location, warm and welcoming proprietors and fantastic breakfast
Decor A bit flowery for our taste
Room was neat and tidy, with large bed and duvet. Excellent view over the river.Breakfast was very good and and several good eating places close by in the village.
tap water tended to be smelly sometimes.
Room, location, breakfast, building, views, local walks, local pubs, historic attractions, landlord. Free WiFi. Bathrobes, selection of local eatery menus to peruse.
The bath was rather slow to fill.
Lovely friendly owners with fantastic breakfast. Room very comfortable with great views.
Excellent hosts, with a breakfast that offer choices above and beyond. View from our room was lovely as we could overlook the river. Comfy bed as well.
We stayed for one night but wished we stayed longer, the old rectory is perfect base for walks and tintern abbey is a short walk away.We booked the garden suite and have no complaints it was clean spacious and quiet and breakfast was excellent (you have to try Iains waffles) No complaints and would definitely stay again.
It was fabulous. Great location with an awesome view over the river. The bed was the most comfortable we've had on our travels and I didn't want to leave it. The breakfast menu was excellent.
