Fantastic place, the owners are attentive and nothing is too much trouble. Great food, both dinner and breakfast, amazingly comfortable bed

If I was to be hyper critical, there was no hook to hold the shower hose up, which meant having to hold it by hand, and the water pressure was poor

"Paradise Found" - Everything throughout our stay was simply perfect. Great hosts who have created a stunning home from home setting. We will certainly visit again and look forward to returning to this wonderful place.

Not much, it was just perfect!

A beautiful house (with lovely decor) in a picturesque location. The hosts were very welcoming. Both the evening meal and breakfast were 1st class.

A very friendly welcome, followed by a feeling of exclusivity(which continued throughout our stay), as we were escorted to a delightful room. The setting for the hotel is superb, the house is beautifully decorated in a sympathetic style and a lot of thought and effort has gone into creating the whole experience and ambience. We were not disappointed in any aspect of either the village, the hotel and the owners, and cannot recommend highly enough, this hotel.

We chose Tir y Coed as a quiet place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed. Ian and Alan were excellent hosts, their welcome and attention to their guests was just right. We felt as if we had known them for ages, and the house was everything we had hoped for, indeed it exceeded all our expectations. We hope we will be able to make another visit there next year.

This place is a real gem! Snuggled in the trees at the top of an emerald velvet lawn/park, the hosts quietly welcome you into their captivating home. Richly decorated in gorgeous plaids and coordinating colors, we felt like we had entered the pleasant and cozy home of friends. The guest rooms are equally charming, each uniquely decorated, and entirely comfortable. Everything is immaculately clean. The breakfasts are sumptuous. The dinners are true gourmet fare- exquisitely delicious and brilliantly presented. We had the Absolute Best of sticky toffee pudding, pancakes and savory cheesecake, to name a few of our favorites. Allen and Ian see to it that you have all the information you need for a perfect visit- from what the weather will be, interesting places you might like to visit, driving directions, where you left your keys, and so on. I could continue, but I think you get the idea.

Beautiful house and gardens. Welcoming and very personal. Excellent service. Wonderful food. Fabulous bedrooms with top quality bed linen etc. A wonderful retreat that deserves regular visits.

We were made most welcomed by Ian in the car park of the hotel and that very high level of courteous service was maintained through out stay, I can't commend highly enough the service we encountered with both Alan and Ian. This was our 1st time at this particular hotel, but it became apparent that the other guests that were staying had stayed before and many more than once, The food was excellent, the hotel setting was so tranquil and relaxing

One of the best country house hotels we have stayed in. Alan and Ian made sure our stay was perfect. Our room was delightful with all the amenities you would expect from a five star hotel. The hotel is just outside the pretty village of Rowen in lovely countryside, yet within easy reach of the coast and Snowdon.

Tir y Coed is an extremely comfortable small country house hotel. We were warmly greeted on our arrival and made to feel very welcome. The public rooms are beautifully and interestingly furnished and are very comfortable. Our room was lovely, very spacious and well appointed with views over the garden to the mountains in the distance. The breakfasts were excellent. We had dinner both evenings. There was a good choice on the menu and the food was delicious. We will certainly return.

Only slight negative was that the shower was luke warm rather than nicely hot. This was a very small point though and we didn't feel the need to raise it.
