We were looking for a hotel close to Tiverton centre and the Best Western fit the bill. We only had one night bed and breakfast and its proximity to the centre of Tiverton, car parking facilities and accommodation were excellent. We didn't like the fact that we weren't given enough info on the breakfast arrangements and therefore missed the cold food as it was well hidden in a recess of the room.

Excellent restaurant - food was outstanding and staff were well informed and attentive (but not too much so!). Quiet ambience all round.

Food was excellent and sensibly priced. Well located for visiting Tiverton town and surrounding countryside. Decor in bedroom and particularly bathroom very dated, pampas grass suite with handbasin inset into what looked like a 1970's Wimpey Bar counter!

Stayed overnight on my way down south and was very pleased with the hotel. Easy to find from M5, about 10 minutes' walk into Tiverton centre, ample parking. Staff were pleasant, courteous and helpful. I had a triple room which, for a solo traveller, was luxury indeed! Room very quiet, overlooking fields and a little river. Beautifully clean, comfortably warm, effective free wifi. I ate in the bar: a rather good fish pie, stuffed with chunks of salmon and scallops and clearly 'home-made' as advertised. Breakfast was also very good (I had no problems whatsoever locating the cold foods/juices etc, although the waiter pointed them out to me anyway). Especially pleased to find pastries as well as the normal offerings. Cooked breakfast was non-greasy, hot and fresh. A good hotel for the price, and an ideal overnight stop.

An excellently run hotel with good size and well equipped rooms. The dining room was an unexpected treat - they seem to have an excellent chef who produces imaginative meals all at very reasonable prices. The other guests, many of whom seemed to have attended a party in the function room, could have been much quieter and more considerate of their fellow guests when going to bed late on Saturday night/early hours of the morning. Perhaps some signs in rooms and lobbies asking guests to be more considerate might help - although these days people seem to have become very selfish so this might be an intractible problem.

The food was above average: freshly cooked; menu changed on a daily basis; value for money. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. The rooms were warm with the ability to open windows and adjust radiators. Beds had great blankets - rare in hotels - instead of terrible over heating duvets. A very good range of toileteries provided. Good heated towel rail in bathroom - also rare. The beds were slightly too soft - a minor grumble. Bathrooms could do with tiles around bath but walls were still in very good condition, nevertheless.

The food is good. The room was extremely uncomfortable. It was too hot and the beds were extremely soft- totally unsuitable to sleep on. As a result my colleague and I got no sleep before our conference held at the hotel. After no sleep and a long conference, I believe driving home was hazardous due to tiredness.

Quiet. Location. Unpretentious. Restaurant menu could be more imaginative, with some less "substantial" dishes for diners with smaller appetites.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. I especially liked the fact that the bathroom was well stocked with some of the things I had left behind when packing. i.e. flannel, body lotion..etc. The beds were comfortable, but the pillows were very hard and uncomfortable.
