Everything was first class. The staff and service excellent. Large breakfast menu, tried quite a few things, all very tasty.

Countryside setting of the hotel - quiet & relaxing. About 10 minutes outside the market town of Bourne and within reasonable drive of several other Lincolnshire centres. Staff kind & friendly. We enjoyed our stay greatly.

Wife took a shower which was a stop and start job , ending -up being cold. This ,it transpired had been reported the day before by previous occupant but no one seemed to have logged it on the Computer.Air-lock in pipe line, +handbasin produced a minor trickle from Hot-tap ! needs a new Washer."! DIrty,(sugar encrusted cup ) in daughters other room.

My eldest granddaughter started a gap year job in nearby Stamford, so we decided to stay for the w/end having 'delivered' her to Stamford junior school. We had a very pleasant dinner Sat night with excellent service from Sarah. Our room was comfortable and cosy.

What we found annoying was the noise other guests made thumping up the stairs at night, and the banging of their doors...waking us all up a number of times. Also we all found the pillows to be lumpy and the rooms far too hot...the heating was too high.

The very pleasant and old English atmosphere. Reasonably priced rooms. Good food.

Restaurant a bit expensive.

The room was comfortable and typically old-fashioned in style. All very clean. The food was excellent, as was the service at all times. Excellent value for money.

The room was located above the bar (room 6) was noisy and very dated. Room furnishings and bathroom needs updating.

The room was directly above the bar and the window was single glazed and on the road which made it a little noisy if you expect an early night. After 11.00pm it was fine

It was a good middle of the range hotel. V comfortable bed, good tea making facilities and shower. Was a fine stay.

Golf - why ruin a good walk. It was fine and no bad points.

Good atmosphere and very helpful staff. Although our visit was a sad one ie, my Brothers funeral it was made easier by the lovely staff and the beautiful location!

Unfortunately the shower woke us on the first night I was very impressed with the rapid response to my phone call at 0330hrs and the subsequent handling of the situation!
