The welcome, quaint place, excellent breakfast
Nothing, did just the job
Beautiful room, very high quality and really clean. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Mini fridge in the room was useful. In lovely grounds, we would stay there again.
The shower room and toilet are open to the room and only have a beaded curtain to separate them. Means that there is no privacy (you can be seen on the loo by anyone who comes into the room!) and the beaded curtain is really annoying as we kept getting caught on it. Breakfast is at one big table with all the other guests, not good if you don't feel like chatting to everyone else.
Great for the disabled all facilities on one level.
My favourite thing was the location. Going down the quiet country roads. The room was nice and there was a lot of lovely area's to sit and relax inside and out within the hotel area. Breakfast was very good and the two ladies (seemed to be the only staff) were very helpful. A good Indian restaurant called the mint leaf 5 mins away.
We had a room out the back from the main building. I got woke up by the noise of trains which was a bit of a nuisance, also the bed was a bit low down. Shame there was no bar for the evening.
fantastic location, good room, very friendly staff
every thing these people know how a hotel /guest house should be run I could not recommend them more highly food great (breakfast) room superb staff nice beyond belief take my word for ir I stay in dozens of hotels and this is top of list
had to leave
wonderful location great and friendly staff wonderful breakfast lovely room and facilities
having to leave!
Really enjoyed our stay! Staff are really nice and friendly and they have a wonderful breakfast served at a lovely dining table!
The two Polish girls were very helpful and friendly and cooked an excellent breakfast. The Barn is very well maintained and very pleasing to the eye and relaxing. They gave us cards for local restaurants and we visited The Plough - food very good though a bit expensive.
Microwave in room but no plates or cutlery so did not use. Really would be better with restaurant and bar as long way to find something outside and at night the local lanes are very narrow and dark and not the best of roads to be on.
Family accommodation very cramped
Comfortable, quiet, staff efficient and courteous.
Distance from town centre
Everything. I work all over the UK staying at numerous hotels, bed and B&Bs etc. This is by far the best I have stayed at. Everything brilliant. Best bed I have slept in. The staff are excellent. The breakfast are incredible. Overall superb
Location, scenery, breakfast
Lovely breakfast Polite and helpful staff Great room and good bed
Room had the ability to sleep 3 but only had 2 mugs, glasses etc
Great rooms, perfect scenery, friendly staff especially receptionist. Great time overall. Will defo go back!!!!
Pleasant change from the usual budget hotels like Premier Inn and Holiday Express. Hotel had character and good staff. Would definetly stay again if in the area.
Very Pleasant setting, very helpful staff, relaxing.
Cannot understand why there was no door on the bathroom/shower area, only a bead curtain! Otherwise, a very relaxing, pleasant stay.
superb breakfast and lovely garden/grounds Friendly and helpful staff
could have done with a wardrobe in our room, instead of just a row of hooks. The shower was a little tempermental
The location, the eating area, the breakfast. The staff.
The bathroom and noisy boiler/extractor fan. Plus the shower makes the whole bathroom wet. Leaking tap. Small things that for the price should be fixed straight away.
The room was very nice
No where local to drink or eat bar in the hortel not opened when we got a member of staff they only sold beer or coke although sprits were on display tv in the lounge did not work not very welcoming
I would suggest offering an alternative to english breakfast (fruit, cheese, jam..).
quirkiness very good freshly cooked breakfast
The room was a cabin style suite with two rooms. Main bedroom with bathroom off had a King size bed, TV, fridge and wardrobe. The outer sitting room had a single bed, two arm chairs, sink, microwave and all the utensils. There was a larger fridge as well. The hotel main rooms were beautiful with wonderful sitting area's a bar and the open kitchen dining area! Fabulous staff and great surroundings.
Poor choice of bard drinks. No wine!
Room and staff were great
Would be even greater if you could get an evening meal there
