The peace and quiet, the comfortable bed, the house itself, the friendliness of the folk running it. The garden looked lovely and would be beautiful in the summer.
The bathroom was a tad small and the shower difficult to regulate.
The warm welcome from owner and staff, the homely feel to the place with lots of family photographs and warm furnishings. The sound of horses crossing the yard was practically the only sound to be heard. We spent 4 very restful nights here and loved it. Didn't even mind the spiders! Have to accept this is an old house with a few creaks but lovely personal touches.
Agree with previous customer that the bathroom had a few challenges but if you want 5 star hotel bathroom go to a 5 star hotel.
Friendly people, lovely building, antique furniture. Peaceful and rural surroundings. Breakfast excellent. Don't go expecting a Premier Inn, and you'll enjoy it...
Wifi didn't reach our side of the house, but we didn't really miss it!
Cosy, clean, good breakfasts and cheerful friendly staff.
The house and garden were beautiful, and it was very easy to find, which was important to us. Also good to have extra tea making stuff available as well as a mini fridge to keep our fresh milk cold..much nicer in morning tea
The water pressure for bath and shower was low which was a pity as I needed to wash my hair
Situation and cosy, friendly atmosphere.
Need to ask for a shower unit rather than over bath shower to easier access.
Friendly staff and service, lovely breakfast, good night sleep.
room was tired and in need of TLC, bathroom was poor and small, needed significant update.
LOCATION QUIET 3 BEDS IN ONE ROOM BREAKFAST WAS GOOD NICE SMALL DOGS
SHOWER VIA BATH TAPS NEEDS BETTER CLEANING. NEEDS BETTER QUALITY OF PAINTING IN BEDROOM. FRIED BREAD TOO HARD TOAST SHOULD COME OUT WITH BREAKFAST NOT BEFORE
Lovely house with beautiful furniture and pictures. Very welcoming host and hostess
The miniscule shower room!
Comfortable, friendly staff, historic building
Everyone was friendly and welcoming and it was very relaxed, nothing was too much trouble. There was everything you needed from an iron to a small bottle of wine to a beautiful garden to enjoy. The house is in a lovely area and it was so peaceful. The breakfast was superb, everything you need to start the day and it was nice to go back to the room at the end of a long day to find the room cleaned, bed made and fresh towls etc. ready for you which we had not expected from a B&B. Although our room was looking a bit 'tired' if you remember this is not a 5 star hotel but a listed building that we were lucky enough to share for a couple of nights you will love it! We would stay there again, no hesitation! Thank you to Toomer Farm for an enjoyable stay. P.S loved the dogs.
The bathroom was not great but again it is an old house, we really could not say that there was anything we didnt like.
the location was easy to find, the property was beautiful, the welcome was nice, would have explored the area around if the weather had been better. Breakfast was much better than some hotels who are supposed to be 5*. The separate guest lounge also enabled you to sit somewhere rather than just your room.
there wasn't anything that we disliked, but the Wi-Fi is a bit slow, I suspect that the signal may vary depending on whereabouts you are in the house.
Nice big rooms, family spirit to the place. Beautiful farmyard with lots of horses around. Amazing garden at the back, very well looked after. Good breakfast.
Bathroom can be equipped a bit better, in two rooms we had there was no shower - one had just bath, another had shower broken.
Very peaceful. Owners & staff very helpful. Nice breakfast.
The first sign you come to on the road from Hentsridge is a little overgrown & difficult to see.
No proper shower or mixer taps. No wifi or tv
Comfy bed, excellent breakfast, small fridge and wine in the bedroom. Good lighting for reading in bed. Family mementoes around. Pleasant sitting-room and nice garden.
The location and the great breakfaxt
Shower not great and very poor wi-fi
Really nice and friendly personel Romantic garden Clean room Good bed Good tasting breakfast
Amazing room Amazing countryside Amazing breakfast
I had to leave :(
Location and helpful staff. Character of rooms. Please note bathrooms are very small but allow for a third bed in these rooms.
We loved this place, we stayed here for only one night, but could have happily stayed longer. The people running the B &B were great, very helpful. They have lots of horses which my daughter loved and a nice garden for an early morning cup of tea. Would happily return.
The quiet location and views of the countryside, lovely gardens, delicious breakfast.
The room was comfortable with all facilities, just could do with a makeover, and maybe a good walk in shower rather than a bath, as the bathroom was very small and the water pressure was low.
The location and the staff were very friendly. I would book Toomer farm again.
- breakfast was great! - a cot was provided
- bathroom, small and pretty old. Water (shower) cold hot cold hot...
Lots of character and history, excellent location.
It feels like B&B is meant to generate some extra income for owners. If to put a bit of heart into it, the place would shine
