Tooting Place Apartments  

Die ruhige Lage. Supermarkt um die Ecke. Anbindung zum Zentrum, wenn man sich auskennt, gut möglich.

Das Apartment war relativ schmutzig und hatte schwarzen Schimmel im Bad und an den Fenstern. Die Möbel sind wackelig, die Ausstattung sehr einfach und billig gehalten und der Standard insgesamt sehr niedrig. Der Hausmeister war unfreundlich.

Comfortable for family. WiFi is free and very good. Apartment is near shop, near mosque and Halal restaurants.

Location is too far from London, taxi cost is too expensive, about USD60 per trip.

Unplesant smelling fridge and dirty loundry. Very hot during day due to velux window. Far away from the city center. Not a secure area.

Simple, but ok appartment in a small house with in total 3 appartments. The appartment was listed with 6 beds but 2 of them were on sleeping sofas in the livingroom and not very comfortable. Quiet nighborehood, a local supermarket open to late at night, and ok value for money.

The distance to subway is a bit far - you need to take the bus or walk for 25 - 30 minutes depending how fast you walk. However, the bus stop is right around the corner. Incl the bus trip it takes around 45 minutes to London bridge - a bit more than we thought.

Muy alejado del centro, tardas una hora desde el centro de Londres al apartamento. Eso si, la parada de bus está a escasos 3 minutos a pie y esa parada te deja/recoge en Tooting Brodway (estación de metro). El apartamento no tiene persianas!! y a las 7 de la mañana ya estabas con el ojo abierto (claro que los londinenses no están acostumbrados a ver mucho sol). En la casa sólo había dos espejos, uno en el baño de 20x15cm y otro que tenían apoyado en una pared!!!, digo tenían porque sin querer le di un golpe y se cayó! es lo que tiene que el espejo no este en su sitio!. 10 libras que nos cobraron por él y eso que es de ikea y aquí cuesta unos 6€, pero es London y no Spain!!

Nous avons aimé la surface de l'appartement, la simplicité de la décoration. La situation géographique : environ 10 km du centre de londres.

L'absence de contact avec le propriétaire. La difficulté pour récupérer les clés : mauvais code fourni. L'absence de chauffage en arrivant. La panne de chauffe eau durant nos 3 jours de présence.

1. Despre gazde: Gazdele au fost foarte darnice cu informatiile necesare unei calatorii: inca dinainte de a pleca de acasa, am primit un e-mail cu informatii foarte utile referitoare la: - transportul de la aeroport catre apartament, - transportul catre centrul orasului, - harta zonei in care e amplasat apartamentul, - nr. de telefon pentru taxi si alte urgente. Toate aceste informatii ne-au fost de un real folos. Le multumim pe aceasta cale. 2. Despre apartament: Am locuit in apartamentul cu un dormitor de la mansarda, iar acesta a fost OK: nu foarte spatios, dar suficient pentru 3 persoane, frumos decorat si dotat cu tot ce e necesar, atat in camere, cat si in bucatarie. Internetul a functionat fara nici un fel de problema. 3. Despre zona: E o zona linistita, retrasa de tumultul strazilor aglomerate si in care gasesti atat magazine foarte apropiate, aprovizionate, de unde poti cumpara la preturi rezonabile, cat si locuri in care poti manca, daca nu ai chef sa gatesti. Fata de statia de metrou este destul de departe - daca vrei sa mergi pe jos, dar cu autobuzul este foarte bine, mergi 8 min. max. Legaturile de transport sunt foarte bune. Ca sa ajungi in centru schimbi un autobuz si un metrou. In ansamblu, am fost multumiti, raportul calitate/pret este unul corect.

1. Chiar daca la inceput au fost mici probleme cu centrala termica, gazdele au fost foarte rapide si discrete in a rezolva problema 2. Am avut o surpriza in schimb cu prizele:in aceasta tara prizele sunt altfel si nu se potrivesc cu stecherele obisnuite in Europa. Va recomandam, pentru cei care vin din afara Marii Britanii: luati-va de acasa adaptoare pentru prize. In caz contrar, trebuie sa va cumparati si e destul de scump (7 lire). 3. O problema este cu presiunea apei calde (la bateria cazii de baie), ar trebui remediata. (Nu am inteles de ce englezii nu folosesc baterii monocomanda, e mult mai comod sa reglezi temperatura apei).

We didn't, it was one problem after another.

The area was in the middle of a very run down street which we didn't realise until we got there, so to start with we did it have the best impression. We then entered the apartment, it was cold, damp around the windows in the bedroom and then within minutes of us being there we realised the hall light didn't work nor the one in the kitchen and as we arrived at night time this wasn't a good combination. We then went on to use the television which was broke, we rang the Caretaker he then came a couple of hours later an swapped it for one that worked however it still didn't have itv1 and crackled but we were just thankful for something as we were staying in the first night. He then came back in the morning to fix the lights, then a couple of hours after him leaving we went on to use the shower which didn't work properly water was spitting everywhere as there was holes in the shower pipe and the tap was broke so couldn't have a bath either so consequently both means my friend had to wash each others hair for one another and then finish off in the sink. The flush only worked after holding in down about 5 times too and also one of the plug socket in the bedroom was broke so only had use of one. All in all I must have about 10 times, to begin with on the first night they were very helpful and I thought maybe it wasn't as bad as we thought but by end of our second day I was just annoyed you shouldn't have to be ringing people constantly when you are in your holiday. It wasn't an enjoyable stay, we were disappointed. It certainly want worth £240 for two nights! Two nights of ringing around!

Inside aprtment it is clean and neat.

Backyard was not clean.

Wir waren 6-Personen, leider war das Appartment nicht für 6-Personen ausgerichtet (Besteck, Stühle etc.)

Un appartement dans un quartier très excentré et peu sympathique, une forte odeur de moisissures, pas de lave-vaisselle, sombre, sonore...mal agencé...un jardin non entretenu plein de détritus...le logement fut la grande déception de notre séjour...ainsi que l'impossibilité d'obtenir un rabais alors que le prix avait baissé...on comprend mieux maintenant pourquoi ils avaient du mal à louer !

The Tooting Place Apartments were perfectly servicable and impecably clean. We had issues getting into the apartment on one day of our stay, but the management company were very quick to offer to come out and let us in.

Tooting Place Apartments were a fair distance from where we wanted to be (Wimbledon) despite having found the apartments becuase they were the closest to Wimbledon according to the search filters.

Very clean large and roomy excellent facilities.
