The food was absolutely fantastic - some of the best "hotel food" I have ever tasted! Staff were very attentive but unfussy at the same time.

The staff were excellent providing polite, efficient service without being 'in your face' they were always at hand to serve in a mannerly way. The food was fresh, hot, tasty and beautifully presented. Bar service competent, prompt and friendly chat at all times but never intrusive Same soup of the day option 2 days running ( carrot & orange )

A most enjoyable stay, very friendly staff, typical warm Scottish welcome. Wonderfully quiet at night and a wonderful array of drivers roads all around. The food was nice but portions on the small side.

The building is well maintained and full of character. It set in an outstanding location. The staff proved to be exceptionally friendly and most helpful, indicating that they were all well motivated and trained. The menus in both bar and restaurant were imaginative and both food and presentation lived up to expectations Saying good bye.

Beautiful location. Very pleasant and helpful staff. The hotel is in good decorative order and exudes 'quality' The room we had, on the top floor, was a delight and large, as was the en-suite bathroom! All in all, a most enjoyable experience and we would recommend this hotel to our friends if coming to the area. Quite satisfied with our experience at the hotel

Room required at very short notice to attend family funeral. Easily booked and facilities well described. Staff very courteous and professional on arrival. Was particularly impressed that they went out of their way to assist my brother (also staying at the hotel) whose daughter and grandson arrived on an overnight train and were welcome to use facilities to have breakfast, shower and get dressed prior to attending the funeral. Room decorated and furnished to a high standard in keeping with traditional style of the building and meticulously clean. Regret we were unable to sample more than breakfast but I imagine their cuisine would match their other standards. An added bonus is that it is situated in one of the most scenic parts of the Country.

Hotel room was very comfortable and very clean. Public areas were warm and welcoming, the pianist in the lounge added to the relaxed atmosphere. This made the experience most enjoyable and would certainly ensure another visit.

I first stayed in the Tor-na-coille Hotel in 1979 for part of my honeymoon. It was a lovely hotel then and is even better now, meeting all my expectations. The staff are friendly and polite, the food and service excellent and the rooms are very comfortable. I shall recommend it to all my friends.

My stay at the Tor-Na-Coiller hotel was excellent. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and pleasant. My room was very clean and spacious. I will certainly be visiting again, but as pleasure rather than business, so I can enjoy the surroundings more.

A lovely Victorian house in a good location for exploring the Highlands and Royal Deeside. An easy short walk into Banchory. Good evening menu, young attentive staff throughout, excellent breakfast. Rooms have been recently revamped and are pretty spacious. New wi-fi was installed whilst we were there and initial problems with connection disappeared overnight. Bit of a mix up initially over whether our booking from Booking.com had been received or not. I received mixed messages. But the receptionist bent over backwards to accommodate us and sort the problem out very quickly.
