Nice breakfast, friendly staff, good highway to the hotel (not normal for Isle of Skye!).
It is an hour's drive to Portree, where many of the Isle's attractions are located (altho it's a pretty drive). Decent restaurant, although the menu is limited and the portions small. Room is small for the price.
Tasteful decor. Good communication by phone and email. Accommodated our request for preferred room. Thank you. Peaceful location. Great menu; dinner and breakfast were excellent and beautifully presented.
Wifi connectivity was sporadic. Newspapers in the lounge would have been a nice touch.
a very nice and well run small hotel. great food
Staff were absolutely fantastic, particularly Craig who told us about the fairy falls. General manager was delightful, despite the fact we were late for breakfast she served us with a smile and even moved us to a table closer to the window for better views! Great wifi, great food, beautiful views, comfortable beds, beautiful decor, powerful shower, the list goes on! The staff even lit the fire for our arrival - service was truly impeccable.
Nothing not to like, everything was perfect.
Beautiful food, lovely room. A must stay on the island.
The friendliness and efficiency of service.
The food was exceptional and the atmosphere in the hotel is excellent. All very relaxing
The location and the view we had.
The rooms are being renovated, so parts of the room were older than the rest of the room.
Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly but a bit confused.
Rooms are very small. Seems like the Hotel is trying too hard to be am upscale place, when they could just be a nice and cosy b&b. It was too expensive for what you got.
Clean and comfortable room
Overpriced, a bit pretentious: it's not the classy hotel some members of the staff think it is. The room's wallpaper and plaster were deteriorated.
Lovely country house hotel. Friendly staff, good access for the southern end of Skye. Restaurant very good both for evening meals and breakfast.
The hotel staff were great and helped make it a memorable stay
-service is very personal -food is very, very good -rooms are quiet and neat
Gorgeous food. Gorgeous room and a fine selection of malts
Attractive hotel in Sleat, handy to Armadale ferry & as a driving base to rest of Skye. Comfortable bed & quiet location. Friendly, helpful staff in reception.
Food in restaurant was very good, but still over-priced & served with a stifling air of pretentiousness. The 'bargain rate' rooms are horrendously cramped, stuffy & over-priced. There is better value elsewhere.
Staff pretty efficient and friendly. Hotel itself clean and comfortable.
Food was presented as a "fine dining" menu. Unfortunately the quality did not meet our expectations and we only dined at the hotel once. No other food options nearby either
Very friendly staff. We were made to feel very welcome. Wonderful food and service
Rosemary made us welcome and gave us good advice.Nothing was a problem
The service and food there is very nice!
Wonderful location and very nice hotel. Our room was clean and newly furnished. Staff was welcoming and friendly.
Breakfast was nicely served but not of high quality.
Staff was friendly. Comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious.
The hotel is in the south of Skye, so a considerable amount of driving is required to get to the rest of the island. For day trips, distances are at the limit. Our room was very dark and small, so that we had problems placing our two suitcases. Cleanlyness in the bathroom was just ok (some dead insects lying in the window frame). Given the small room and the location, price was much to high.
The food is amazing! Lovely staff, cosy rooms, close to the ferry station.
Location is not ideal for those travelling without a car.
Great place to stay, friendly staff, clean and comfortable room, great food and service.
