Finding small spider in the bath and window frames dirty and the kettle needs renewing due to limescale and hallways looked grimy due to no wallpaper think must be due to decorate apart from that all goid
I liked the location.. Loads of parking Comfy rooms Reception staff amazingly polite
The breakfast staff was really.rude and moaning that I had.come down for breakfast later than others but before it had stopped. . Once I left they cheered n said yay that's it They were bad talking about other members of staff whilst clearing away around me
The unexpected addition of having a bar with excellent entertainment
The staff worked really hard over worked if anything. The food was good.
The hotel was falling apart. First couldn't turn heating off then wouldn't turn on. Last morning no water in hot taps. Bedroom window would not shut, room smelt musty. Ceiling ripped out in corridor electric wires hanging down.
quite, freindley sfaff,nice little bar,
The room, the breakfast, good job it was for one night.
Friendly, helpful staff. Good, tasty food. Excellent restaurant service. Rooms and furnishings clean and comfortable.
Lack of parking space. Otherwise only minor things - no shower gel, shampoo or tissues. Bathroom was "compact", but adequate.
When we arrived there was no record of our booking it wasn't passed on to the hotel we had to stay in staff accommodation
Good location. Good breakfast, comfortable bed. Friendly waitresses/ waiters, keen to help guests. Entertainment good. Parking outside when available.
Being on second floor! Felt sorry for young staff on duty during evenings who had to run bar, do bar foods and run entertainment at the same time, whilst dealing with reception and anything else that cropped up. This they did well. I hope this comment gets fed back to them.
Staff we're very pleasant and helpful
Cooked breakfast was poor
The breakfast was served very quickly after the order taken.
There was no parking nearby, so had to pay for parking in public multi story Carpark that was accessed through a park and along a poorly lit public alleyway. Had to find this parking without any help from the reception staff. The room was poorly decorated, very dark as the lights were low wattage, the bathroom light blew during the night, so the morning shower was difficult. This is a coach party hotel, that was reflected in the food and entertainment, and piped corridor music.
This is interesting, When we go out,we off light, but came back its on... Next thing is, before go to sleep,i off the tv, suddenly it on while we were sleeping, (it showing ghost movie)
The room and service was very good and they were very helpful with the time of breakfast and if we came back after they locked the doors xx
Location was good
Poor decor, damp in bathroom, very very dated in desperate need of refurb. Car park was like a building site. Breakfast was minimal in both size and options, staff only spoke when we arrived and wanted to pay, other than that we were pretty much invisible.
Parking is advertised as available, but it's a very small yard full of builders vans. Poor quality breakfast, both food and coffee/tea .Requested porridge but did not receive...
Staff were friendly and polite, Location good, rooms were good.
can be hard to locate a car parking space nearby
On arrival to many drunk people standing outside smoking / the rooms we're in a very poor state the bathroom was disgusting ,there was cigarette burns in the curtains ,left very early on the Sunday morning just wanted to get home and shower ,so would not use this (hotel) again
Reading some of the reviews, I was expecting the worse. Our room had been refurbished with new carpet, bed & bedding and furniture. The bathroom was older but it was clean, everything worked and the water was hot. Breakfast was good - buffet for juice, cereals and fruit juice. Hot breakfast cooked to order.
Lack of parking. There are only a few spaces at the front of the hotel and in a very small car park beside the hotel. We were lucky to find a place on the road right outside but only because someone was going. On road parking is very limited in the area.
It was the only hotel in area left for last minute 1 night booking. At breakfast I asked for some cheese and staff got me some from the kitchen.
Very basic and old, run down. At 75 gbp a night for double room way too overpriced for what you get. Only few parking places and some were wasted due to inefficient parking, staff didn't encourage guests to make space. Breakfast is extremely extremely basic even for a budget hotel. Shower is either boiling or ice cold, interior reminds of some old people's retirement home.
Very noisy in house entertainment very loud couldn't sleep as room vibrating with noise one member of staff incredibly rude made me feel humiliated
Very welcoming. Staff are lovely. A lot of hotels can learn from them. They are helpful friendly and was a great stay. Would highly recommend to anyone
Room was hot due to no air con.
No shower just a bath in ensuite
The bed was comfy.
Poor decoration and by this I mean wallpaper peeling off in various places, there was a bit of cardboard filling a window above my door, and the full english breakfast was only half a breakfast! I was given half a slice of fried bread, 1 small sausage, 1 piece of bacon, a fried egg and over half a plate of beans. I could of made a big difference if the food was better. To finish off I had a double room with no shower which I felt was poor as it takes a lot longer for a couple to get ready for a night our when both needing a bath.
Location was good, only a couple of minutes walk to the beach. Generally the place is very clean and the bedding is of good quality.
The rooms look like they've had some refurbishment, mainly cosmetic, but the bathroom was very poor. Cracks down the walls and very dark and gloomy. The public areas are very tired and resembled an old peoples home.
