Amazing stay and well taken care of... Like home from home. The owners are inviting and welcoming and the location and views and amazing.
A good-sized room that was very clean and well furnished with a small library in one corner! A large en-suite bathroom. A delicious breakfast served at a time that suited us because we didn't want an early start. Both hosts were welcoming, attentive and friendly.
The room very comfortable and the owners very welcoming. Delightful stay, including excellent breakfast. We will certainly go back if in the area again..
Great accommodation, fantastic breakfasts, very friendly and helpful hosts - 10/10
The comfort the cleanliness and and great host
Fantastic hosts beautiful house with great views.
Nice clean and comfortable room with spacious en-suite bathroom. Friendly hosts and excellent breakfast provided.
Some people might find the drive a bit steep when parking and reversing out.
Everything was thought of, very welcoming and considerate, fantastic modern property and facilities.
Comfort and friendly
Fantastic host.Really comfortable bed.Very homely feel.
The house and the views. The first floor sitting room was wonderful.
Barat and Ann made us feel very welcome to their beautiful home. Our room was very comfortable and breakfasts were extremely good with all guests' tastes catered for. We would recommend Torlands very highly.
The bed was a little on the soft side for me but still slept very well both nights.
the hosts are really friendly and welcoming. It was great to be able to store our bikes in the garage too. Excellent location as we were able to walk into town for a meal too, though beware the steep hill on the way back! Would definitely stay here again if visiting the area.
Very friendly and accommodating. Felt very welcome. Great breakfast.
We were asked to go into this hotel as we booked to stay at the minors country inn ;but the inn didn't have a record if our booking .As it was new years eve we thought this hotel would had been more lively.we couldn't get a meal .as everywhere you had to have tickets.so we ended with a kebab.and also on our own in the House.but that was expected.so only thing I say is if you want a formal stay this is the hotel for you its fab.decor .dont stay if you want a hotel like holiday inn
The comfort of the guest house was first class .But there is no bar .and its got only two guest rooms one downstairs and one up .and its more of living in someone else's home .breackfast was good made to order. And the owners were really nice .
I got out of the shower and the edge of the shower was very high. I fell out and because the bathroom floor is tiled. I fell really badly with my feet being wet
The attention to detail
I could not find fault with the accommodation, we were not there long enough. If I have to find fault and be really picky the coffee in the room had solidified. The breakfast was really tasty, cooked how you liked it.
The location and property were very good. The views are amazing from the bedrooms and visitor lounge. Good parking. The host Bharat is charming and professional.
* Beautifully decorated, spacious bedroom and sitting area, with an excellent shower room. The sitting room with superb views looked extremely inviting and luxurious. * Kindness of the owners, who went that 'extra mile' to make our stay a good one. * Excellent breakfast.
Approach from town riddled with speed humps and steep drive on property itself. Provision of toiletries etc. in bathroom very limited albeit adequate for one night stay.
Beautiful modern bungalow with charming owners in quiet location yet easily accessible to town centre. Good choice of food at breakfast time.
Perfect place to go. Very hospitallity
This B&B is nicely located on the hills to the North of town - we walked into town for dinner; it took about 20 mins. The room was large and spotlessly clean. The welcome was very friendly -- before we arrived we were emailed to ask whether we wanted help with dinner, taxis etc. Breakfast was lovely: cereals, toast (decent bread) and well cooked English. Great value and a lovely stay.
Just a little farther out of town than I had expected.
Everything about the accommodation was excellent and the host could not have been more helpful.
The location is tough, and unclear, especially if you arrive without a car.
The only thing we personally thought was disappointing is the fact you cannot pay the bill by card, staying for a couple of nights is easily affordable in cash, however, a week or longer would prove costly for some people.
The house, and surrounding area were beautifully kept. Bharat and Anne were lovely proprietors, very friendly, helpful and always smiling. The rooms are spacious, well kept, and we would highly recommend them if anyone is staying in the are. Very close to town and most ammeneties too, whilst being in a location that offers quietness for a good nights sleep. Excellent.
Everything. Very comfortable, good location for sightseeing in Monmouthshire. Good breakfast. Welcoming.
