This budget hotel was excellent value for money with clean rooms, change of sheets and towels and a fantastic choice of well cooked breakfast. The owners were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable of the surrounding area. The only small niggly thing was we felt the change of all the towels daily (whether used or not) was unnecessary and not very environmentally friendly.

Comfortable room overlooking Torwood Gardens. Large bathroom with shower and bath, which makes a pleasant change! Good breakfast cooked by landlord. Short walk to harbour and town. House is on noisy main road - nothing else to dislike.

Friendly owners and staff, clean rooms very convenient for Torquay harbour area. The front of the hotel overlooks a main road coming from Torquay harbour and traffic noise took a bit of getting used to; also, though completely outside the control of the hotel being at the front we were kept awake between 0330 and 0415hrs by a fight and disturbance

The staff (I assume owners) were very friendly and willing to accommadate our wishes. The hotel was clean, homely and close to the sea front. I managed to park with no problems but it does seem limited - unless they have alternative locations.

The rooms required some maintenance. Ours had the toilet seat hanging off, others stated that the toilet was not fixed to the road. Its also right behind a noisy bar so ear plugs are required.

My experience at the hotel was amazing, every morning when you go down for breakfast the presentation of the tables where you sit are very well organised while there is music playing in the background and you can also see the park outside in the window which makes you feel very relaxed and comfortable, even though the plate for your cooked breakfast looks small it is the right portion to eat and does not make you feel still hungry or full. I could not say anything bad about this hotel.

Friendliness of staff, homely atmosphere, attractions leaflets at desk, quintness of hotel. Only one space behind hotel, extra spaces in side garage not sufficient.
