Nobody annoying me as l had a long drive.
Having to fill in forms after long drive and hard days work.
Single room and quite
No ensuite every thing else spot on
The room was clean and comfortable and decorated to a good standard.
Unappealing layout with wash and toilet facilities made it feel similar to a university dorm.
the facilities bad, the main complaint was a lack of heating, we4 had to sleep in our clothes because it was so cold
Staff very pleasant and friendly
A very unstable and uncomfortable bed
Helpful and friendly staff. Good beer. Comfortable, warm and clean.
Shared facilities. Can be quite noisy in bedroom from bar downstairs.
The price and the pub itself was nice
Dirty shower , wash and toilet facilities. No windows in room so no ventilation meant it was very humid and uncomfortable to sleep in.
It feels like it had only just been renovated. The price was good
Unfortunately the rooms are not ensuite and the shower temperature was not consistant, one moment cold, the next hot.
Wi fi, clean rooms
If you like real Ale and cider locally sourced then this is just what you are looking for. Lovely decorated rooms with a nice TV and bed.
Shower was not very powerful
clean pub down stairs wi fi everything nice and clean upstairs staff very polite.
shared toilets down the landing my room had no window very stuffy later on walls paper thin was woken up at 7 am with next doors telly on.
So cheap £25, everything fairly new. Was kettle, microwave and fridge in corridor to use, Indian takeaway opposite for nice food. Would stay again, but they do have live music on so don't know what them nights would be like?
No where to get breakfast local at 7am. Could hear loud pub chat from below pub if you wanted early sleep, but was quiet by about 11. Did not have own car park, staff let me Park out the front next to main road, thank you, was worried about drunk people possibly damaging car, but luckily everything OK, maybe because this was a real ale pub with decent grown up people.
crackin beers Cracking staff
Not much,basic place
We loved the occomadation and would stay again, the facilities were comfortable and the room was spacious.
I was woken up at 4am due to another customer who was intoxicated and could not work the key pad on the gate, he kept banging on the gate very loudly untill I had to go and see what was the matter. The key pad was working as we had worked out that once the numbers were entred then you turn it clockwise. This is not really clear and a sign would be an advantage, also a light so you can see what your doing.
Room was very nice, clean and modern
Room v small and no windows. too warm. No air and not en suite.
A terrific welcome, the staff incredibly helpful and obliging, and the room was absolutely immaculate
No washbasin in room, no breakfast available
Pleasant staff and bar price's are very reasonable.
Late nighter's not being considerate!
No window in the room!! No ventilation in the room!! Dirty towels!!
Good genuine pub with character. Friendly, helpful staff. Reasonable prices, just what a local pub should be.
Bar staff petting a customers dog, then serving customers without washing their hands. Behind the headboard of my bed was full of webs and dirt..
The manager was extremely rude and our rooms where not correct on arrival
For the money the room was clean & functionable with neutral decor & new looking carpets. The bedding was clean & there were ample coat hangers in the wardrobe.
It was a surprise to find the 2 showers & 3 toilets were down the hall & communal. It would have been preferable to have had them specified by gender. Also the heaters in the toilets were at ankle level & were scalding hot. Unfortunately there was also no window or air conditioning in our room which made it a bit hot as it was summer, although others did have windows & there was an air conditioning unit placed in the corridor. An active contact number for staff on duty would have been helpful for our stay.
Excellent value for a great location - £25 for a large single room amazing value. Shared shower/bath facilities very adequate and all kept clean and tidy. Room very quiet.
Very minor points. Kitchen/kettle drinks facilities poor - no cups for tea/coffee. Ventilation/heat - obviously an issue as hallway fan set to maximum coolness as very warm in room.
No parking outside but public parking very close by which is free after 6pm. Rooms are good and clean. The place is excellent value for money and while you can hear the pub below it is not an issue nor a disturbance. Would recommend for a cheap overnight stay.
Hand soap outside the toilets would be a nice addition.
