not far from the beach in hastings
shower silicone very mouldy I could not have a shower. The furniture were very old and scratched.
Nice character hotel and good home cooked food.
pillows and mattress were in need of replacement. Both were hard and uncomfortable.
Beautiful back garden
On road parking
Nice and friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Bit out of the centre, especially if you want to visit the old town of Hastings.
food was good. towels and linen excelent
not good for TV Blind not very good Dust in bathroom one good bed one no good sig
Warm welcome when we arrived, given a choice of room. Loved the conservatory and access to the garden. Good to be able to get extra milk etc. and use the fridge. All staff very friendly, overall very pleasant, I would stay again and recommend to friends.
Carpets in the hall and bedrooms needs cleaning/changing, first impressions really do count. Entrance and reception area could do with brightening up, it's rather dark and gives a gloomy impression to what is a lovely place.
Welcoming staff and the breakfast was good.
The decor is in need of an update- carpets are threadbare, the front doors need a simple coat of paint and the bathroom because it had no natural ventilation needed regrouting to spruce everything up- it's all quite tired!
Friendly warm service
Great little B&B. Good value for money. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Shame the bed and pilows was a bit hard and lumpy. But I who still return anytime.
Louise the hotel host was very accommodating. She was there to greet us and gave us information on local history and places to visit. Louise provided us with fresh clean towels and bathrobes. The garden was very pretty with its own terrace and wooden gazzebo which had candles and seats in...very romantic. We were provided with a kettle, tea, coffee & biscuits. Plenty of parking available and no parking meters in and around the street.
We stayed in a double room with a four poster bed which squeaked every time we moved. We were at the front of the hotel so could hear the traffic. The decor could do with updating. Furniture didn't match and carpet needed cleaning. The shower looked a little shabby but the bathroom was well equipped with mirror, storage and fresh towels. The location was quite far from the sea front and shops, bars and restaurants. I would rate this hotel a 3 star instead of the 4 star but with a little updating could potentially be a 4 star.
The quirky bedrooms, we stayed in the room with the Juliet bathroom.
Comfortable rooms and very pleasant conservatory and garden areas.
The hotel was fine but disappointed with st Leonard's and Hastings as resorts.
lovely staff. Nice decor and beautiful garden.
We booked a double but had two single beds pushed together, there was a ridge!
We had a great stay although only one night the room was amazing all pink with four poster very comfortable.... Loraine the owner was more than accommodating in every way :-)))) will definitely be revisiting.
Good value for money, light spacious twin room, coffee & tea facilities in room, lovely conservatory & garden, friendly staff
Bathroom could have been a little cleaner
I've been to this hotel quite a few times now and we keep going back. The hotel owner lets you come and go as you please. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and the garden area is lovely and we just sit out there for hours in the evening enjoying a few bottles of wine.
Lovely garden. Good shower and quaint stairs down into bathroom. Friendly service at breakfast. Helpful and flexible staff.
No hairdryer. Poached eggs overcooked.
My double room had a lovely quirky bathroom, down some stairs from the bedroom. The room was very comfy. And there was a resident cat.
My only downside was having to leave to get to my workplace too early each morning to be able to sample a cooked breakfast. But that was my fault... I could have relaxed and enjoyed the accommodation more if I'd been on holiday!
The garden was nice, the hostess was friendly.
Not very clean, the bathroom was pretty grubby, when you pressed the button on the shower it released hair from a previous guest having a shave, found quite a few other hairs around the toilet, on the whole the bathroom just didn't feel very clean. When we were leaving I looked under the furniture in case we had forgotten anything and under the bedside table I found a chip obviously from someone's fish and chips, it's not like it was hard to clean under there either, it was quite high off the floor. Under the bed I found a magazine from 2004. Upon leaving there was no one at reception to leave our keys with, despite ringing the bell a few times. For the price I paid and the quality provided I would expect breakfast to be included, which it wasn't. I don't feel like it was value for money at all. I don't even normally leave reviews for things but I feel compelled to because of things like finding a chip under the furniture.
room was light and very nice. bed was comfortable, provided by 2 pillows and extra blanket in the cupboard. that is a bonus! room was clean. good tv signal. tea and coffee facilities provided. 24 hour access to the building. beautiful garden
Outstanding service. Very friendly and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for better. Thank-you so much.
The staff at Tower House 1066 were great, the breakfasts were lovely and we really enjoyed our time in the surrounding areas. Lots to see and do from a great base
No complaints at all
Hotel great Louise was wonderfully accommodating and a loverly person
This hotel was one of the best I had during my trip. The hotess was very friendly and helpful. The room was wide and it was beautiful decorated. Here they also provided you with tea and coffee and cookies. During the night it was very quite. The garden is something you should visit if you stay there. The breakfast was awesome. If you had any wishes you could tell the hotess. You get there easily with the bus.
