The best part was leaving. Everything was grubby and full of cat hair
A pleasant oldie worldie hotel, with a friendly ambience. Not 5 star official rating but certainly very comfortable. Will be my hotel of choice on all my frequent future visits.
Cannot think of anything.
Very comfortable room, amazing en suite although blinds were full of dust and tiles around bath could do with a scrub/steam clean. Could not work out how to switch taps from shower to bath either so had to fill bath with shower head of which took for ever.
Unfortunately breakfast is only offered between the hours of 08.00 and 09.00 of which I think is a little early for a Sunday. We went down for breakfast at. 08.35 to be asked to wait in the conservatory along with 3 other couples . This was because the dining room was full. We waited for about 20 minutes but unfortunately we had a christening to attend and needed to be away by 9.30 latest. We decided to let the landlady know that we had to leave without having breakfast and could we have a refund as we had paid for this on top of the room. The landlady was very obliging and gave a refund immediately and was very apologetic for the wait as the guest house was full.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast on offer for extra cost but as I was visiting family I didn't eat here. Ideal location for me. Good transport into old town.
No wifi in my room. Carpet was old and stained. Needed to be replaced.
The room with really quirky stairs to the bathroom. Breakfast, cooked anything to suit you. Lovely view over the peaceful garden Friendly welcome and knowledgeable about the area No time restrictions for coming in
We had a lovely stay at the Tower House 1066. The owner was very accommodating and friendly, the room very comfortable, clean and spacious and the full English breakfast delicious. Thank you.
Room felt damp. Beds were uncomfortable.
The comfort of the room and the friendliness of the staff. Also the fact that there was a communal sitting area and access to the garden.
It's not a International 4 star hotel. But it's a pleasant small hotel.
Close to where we wanted to be, town centre and attractions. Close to a great pub called the Dripping Spring. We were left alone to enjoy our stay and if we needed anything it was easily and rapidly available. Room was serviced discreetly and level of cleanliness was excellent. Would definitely recommend.
I wasn't overly keen on the four poster bed.
The layout of our room was different, the ensuite was downstairs. The room was of a good size.
The black blinds in the ensuite was dusty, and splattered with toothpaste and soap. The room had a fine layer of dust over everything, although the linen was spotless.
The manager was efficient and kind, nothing was too much trouble. She even supplied plates knives and forks for my takeaway supper.
My husband found the bed a little hard but as he doesn't sleep much anyway that wasn't a problem.
We stayed in the superior room with the spiral stairs down to the en-suite, which was quaint. The staff were friendly & helpful. The bed was VERY comfortable!
The room could have been a little cleaner. There was a thick layer of dust on the bathroom blinds, & the toilet was a little stained.
Dirty, dark, tiny bathroom. Lounge area (where the WiFi is) smelled of cat pee
Helpful staff, good facilities and a good location in the town
The shower cubicle in the room was not clean at all. Cracked tiles and black grout from mould.
This is not a 4 star b&b
Louise was a very good host down to earth and honest and very friendly and welcoming I had a very enjoyable stay
Nothing that I did not like I had a very nice stay, breakfast was great and my room was very comfortable all in all I had an enjoyable time, and being a hotelier myself it was great to observe others within the same trade
Welcomed with a smile, clean room with garden view. Lovely breakfast cooked to requirements.
For the Tower House 1066 nothing to complain about. Position - If not overly mobile a car would be needed. Although buses run very regularly and are not overly expensive
not far from the beach in hastings
shower silicone very mouldy I could not have a shower. The furniture were very old and scratched.
We enjoyed the fresh crisp linen and the lovely decor and bathroom. Very clean and incredibly helpful staff who was actually standing in for the owner.
Only slight disappointment that we were not allowed our cooked breakfast as the chef turned off cookers 5 mins before the end of the hour when breakfast is served. Otherwise great!
Nice character hotel and good home cooked food.
pillows and mattress were in need of replacement. Both were hard and uncomfortable.
Beautiful back garden
On road parking
Staff friendly , quaint hotel
Bed very creaky :)
Nice and friendly staff, comfortable bed.
Bit out of the centre, especially if you want to visit the old town of Hastings.
The breakfast was good
On arrival you are faced with a peeling front door. Our room stated view over the garden. The garden was an over grown jungle with dilapidated shed and greenhouse, The sheets etc were clean but creased not ironed. We feel it is 'very tired' and not 4*. Dissappointed. No bar as advertised.
