Great hotel, very clean and friendly staff,
Having to be out the room by 10:30am on a Sunday, midday would be better
Great hotel, with character.
Have a tempur mattress at home, so not used to a normal one.
The helpfulness of the manager, the decor, the welcome.
The general appearance, a beautifully restored building, tidy, clean and very friendly staff. great breakfast. Couldn't fault it - excellent value for money
The room was lovely and spacious with high ceilings and very nice bedding. Good quality furniture and a nice warm shower. The breakfast room was nicely laid out with good service.
My WiFi didn't connect, maybe poor signal
Staff were very friendly and helpful The room was very clean, warm and comfortable.
The room and bathroom were spacious and comfortable and the staff very helpful .
There were some issues with flushing the toilet in our room and in the public toilet downstairs - old plumbing ?
Environment Food Ambience Cleanliness Staff
Wi-Fi access could be better
large rooms, high ceilings, good breakfast, all in grand Italian style
the large spa bath ,was out of order, which was rather sad, , there was no reduction for this offered
Great breakfast and evening meals, nice dining room and good bar.
Staff and location
Net curtains were a little grubby
The Tower Hotel was one of the nicest and best managed hotels we stayed in during our 6 weeks in the UK. Nothing was any trouble, the staff were extremely helpful and we wish we could have stayed there longer.
Lovely hotel Friendly Staff Old world charm
Wi-fi very poor No lift
We loved everything about it, location for cruise, food, staff very friendly, room great and a very comfortable bed, a very classy hotel.
Very friendly at reception. We had the Bagshaw room and that was nice and spacious. This hotel is in a good spot if you want to catch the ferry to Holland early in the morning. The restaurant is o.k and has reasonable prices.
The homely, intimate ambience of the surroundings and the friendly un-intrusive service that was present.
The absence of a lift, consider one that could be concealed and yet practical.
An elegant hotel, with clean comfortable rooms. Meals were of a good quality and generous. Staff generally were helpful.
Toilet cistern was faulty, an offer of another room (there were plenty available ) would have been appreciated ?
Very relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff
Charge for car parking
This property is beautiful and the staff and accommodations were excellent; City Centered; Great place to stay for a couple of days pre and post cruise or just anytime.
Not a thing;
booked this hotel as it was close to the cruise port. Was very impressed when we arrived and the staff were brilliant, smiling and friendly. Would recommend to family and friends
what's not to like?
Very comfortable and accommodating - stayed just the one night but allowed to use the general facilities until time to join our cruise. Would highly recommend
Big and nicely decorated rooms, bath with jacuzzi and separate shower. Close to the ferry terminal.
The jacuzzi did not work ! Food a little traditional.
Location to port LocatiOn to town Food excellent
I liked the room, I liked the location, the staff were friendly and it could be a really top notch hotel with small improvements.
It's not a case of didn't like but there are areas that could do with improvement. For example, the breakfast service was very slow. The coffee was appalling. The toilet in the Bagshaw room is very slow to fill. The bath towels are small.
This property is lovely! It is a unique English Inn. We stayed in the small Pepys Suite, which was spotless! It is on the front of the building, and we left the windows open all night and heard no noise. We had a lovely fish/chips dinner in the beautifully decorated restaurant and it could not have been better. It is the perfect place to stopover, visit the port city of Harwich, and catch your cruise ship. We walked from the train station to the hotel and they called a cab, which was only 6 pounds, to take us to the ship. Just perfect!
