The Tower Hotel  

A really unique experience. A place with a lot of character. Truely beatiful interior design. I am almost prepared to say that it is worth visiting Harwich just of the sake of staying at that hotel.

Both the dinner and the breakfast menus could be more diverse.

As someone who travels from Germany on the ferry i found this hotel in the prime location to use as a comfortable over night stay before driving north, staff were friendly and helpful. two thumbs up.

Very old and well preserved establishment. Food was excellent at evening meal and breakfast.

No lift. Had difficulty in lugging case up the flight of stairs.

Very comfortable spacious room within easy walking distance to the railway station for onward travel to the port of Harwich. Cater for early risers to catch the ferry. Ease of booking through Booking.com

Rooms were large and very comfortable. Nicely furnished. Dinning room is beautifully decorated. Meals were resonably priced. Hotel is well situated near the center of town. Close to shopping and the beach. Short taxi ride to the cruise port.

There is nothing we did not like.

No Internet in the rooms!! Even though they advertise they have it. Only in lobby and bar.

We chose The Tower Hotel because of its location to Harwich port. Perfect for a comfortable night within easy shot of the port.

A wonderful setting and considerate staff, however, it appeared as though one person had to wear too many hats: receptionist, waitress, bar maid, bus boy, chef?

Easy to find, plenty of parking, clean and comfortable room. Good breakfast.

room was lovely and very well appointed. decor generally was , lots of architectual detail. lovely spa bath.

the staff in the bar didn't seem too welcoming when we came in in the evening and asked for a drink.

Decor and friendly staff. For us, going on a voyage from Harwich, the location was excellent.

Rooms were basic with very soft mattresses. The continental breakfast was over priced. We expected more than toast and cereal for £5+.

It was warm, welcoming all the staff were very good and recognised us from previous stays at the hotel. The food and wines were good as we have come to expect.

There was nothing at all that we didn't like.

Noisey floor boards, was woke up 4 in the morning due to noisey floorboards, unable to get off to sleep thereafter.

We stayed at the Tower Hotel on the 22nd March for 2 nights in the Bagshaw room which was so very clean and very spacious, the staff could not do enough for you and the food was cooked to perfection will def stay gain.

weekend went too quick despite the snow.

a bit dirty, toilet flush did not work properly, tap ware did not work properly, receptionist did not ask for feedback - just pay and good bye

Fabulous room, cannot be faulted

the lovely ceilings and art deco lights in the bar,nice staff.

Loved the features of the building, the staff were on hand and friendly. Had a peaceful night's sleep, comfortable bed and not rushed in anyway for meals.

Was deceived on the perception of what the rooms would look like in comparison to the websites photo's. I assumed all the rooms looked luxurious as shown also in brochure, however ours (room 4) was rather basic.
