Clean hotel, great location as so near to the sea and the centre of Bournemouth. Good welcome and given a cup of tea while I waited for my room to be ready. Broken door fixed very quickly.
Not the best place I have been to as a solo traveller, but obviously the regulars who go back know each other and the staff very well and were very happy.
Staff excellent, clean, good food, good value
Considering 2 star rating nothing whatever.
Good solid clean and tidy hotel with staff who go the extra mile to make you feel valued.. I'll happily book there again.
Ambient temperature in the hotel is set to suit the prominently OAP clientel - it's certainly cosy but don't expect to need many/any bedsheets.
Breakfast was fantstic with plently of choice and good products and quality. Service was excellent. The hotel has a very friendly feel and the staff cannot do enough for you they are excellent. Parking plentiful. The location is such that you cna walk to the cliff top and what a view of the coast from Sandbanks to Isle of White
th single bed was bit soft and the pillows were soft - although i asked for another pillow and this was not trouble
Room 19 was very large with a sea view, the facilities were excellent, food was great and the staff were so friendly. Very good location. Shower gel and shampoo was provided but only a couple of days worth, and soap, the en-suite was new.
The car parking was very tight, but not too bad. I can't say anything bad about this hotel.
it was so quiet and comfy and every thing was to hand when needed staff were outstandingly friendly and professional and the food was of best standard you would ever want we cannot fault out stay and long to go back
no comment as nothing not to like with our stay
Location and staff very good.
Breakfast time slightly early in week.
Our room was very spacious which the children enjoyed, and the room was situated on the ground floor which made things easier for my wife and I. The staff went out of their way to cater for our two very young children, particularly at meal times. The beach was only a 5-10 minute walk away, which was great too. Highly recommended for young families.
To be honest there was nothing we could have complained about...everything was better than we anticipated.
i will go again
Great location close to beach , down a cliff zig zag path, the pier / pavilion theatre 5 to 10 mins walk. Friendly , helpful staff, nothing too much trouble. Very clean room and en suite.
Slightly dated interior but not an issue due to other strengths
The staff are always very friendly and go out of their way to make your stay as pleasant as possible. We like the fact that the hotel doesn't have that modern look that you find at those chain hotels. It has its unique style and we love the traditional feel. Plus its right by the beach and a short distance from the town too.
Nothing, all good.
Staff extremely helpful, location was excellent
Bedrooms a bit on the small side, parking difficult
The hotel was spotless, a real compliment to the chambermaids. Free parking and plenty of, a real bonus. Hotel quiet, no late night discos, hen or stag do's, just what you need when you have young children. Good service during breakfast, food of a good standard.
As a returning family we were looking forward to returning, as we had, had such a memorable stay last year. On arrival we were given room 22, lovely spacious comfortable room, but were then told we would have to move to room 29, after 4 days. We were informed room 29 was classed as a family room and was of the same standard. It most definitely wasn't. A small cramped room in the roof, hot, stuffy and not to mention a little claustrophobic, with low water pressure. Avoid room 29 like the plague. And as for telling me it was of the same standard as room 22 and not to mention, priced the same as other family rooms, that was a joke. We checked out early as the room was so bad. Due to a total cockup by the hotel with bookings, my family's holiday was totally ruined. The hotel did offer a little compensation, if we rebooked, however to me apologies and delayed compensations were a little to late in coming, it's as if the hotel didn't want to take responsibility. There are many good reviews on this hotel, so some people will feel I'm being unfair, this is not the case, I just expect a good standard, where other people are happy to accept anything. I suppose it depends what your use to. The hotel is also priced higher than most hotels and to be fair it doesn't warrant the extra cost. We will never return.
The accommodating Staff, location & good room size
Not ideal giving evening food orders very early in the day in case you change your mind (however this wasn't a major issue)
Really loved this place! The staff was great - really cared about providing a great experience and took pride in their hotel and their jobs. The room was clean and spacious with a separate room for the kids. The bedrooms could use a sprucing up, but were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful. The breakfast room, quality of food preparation, as well as the timeliness and friendliness of service was impeccable. Such a great experience that we are looking for excuses to return.
The only point of improvement is that they could often have used an extra person in the evening, as one person was running both the bar and the front desk. Too much for one staffer.
The food was very good
You are made to feel one of the family during your stay rather than just a booking. Management and staff very friendly and give excellent customer service. Good location Very clean and extremely well run family hotel.
In our opinion there is nothing not to like at this hotel.
This hotel should have a higher rating than 2 star, the owner, family &.staff were so friendly & helpful nothing was too much trouble.Dining room & breakfast was excellent, would definitely recommend.
Well cooked breakfast Great location Ample parking
Poor wifi signal
Clean and comfortable. I stayed here because I couldn't find space where I would normally stay. However, I found it pleasant.
Noisy music outside.
DIning room Bed Breakfast service helpful staff proximity to coast tea and coffee in room
lack of hot chocolate sachets in room!
Personal service, no request too trivial, all requests handled efficiently and quickly
Parking area quite tight
Friendly atmosphere, just far enough away from the crowds to be quiet. Near enough to the town and beaches to be able to walk (although you do have hills!) children not a problem, cots and high chairs provided.
Have to double park and leave keys (just a pain having to go back and forth when you have buggies in the car). 4 day stay and towels not changed. No extra towels for 2 children, only for 2 adults. Shower gel and shampoo sachets when we arrived but not replaced. Cot had bottom sheet but no other bedding. Breakfast good but only from 8.15 to 9.15 a little earlier start would have been nice.
Staff and location. Excellent value.
quiet, off the main road location. within 2 minutes walk of the seafront / beach. reasonably priced hotel bar. staff friendly and helpful.
room extremely warm (no air-con) single bed not very comfortable. en-suite shower cubicle a bit on the narrow side with no temperature control.
