Very comfortable and excellent breakfast choice. My bed , a twin was very comfortable. Nice little touches. Not uptight or precious like so many b and bs
Immaculate rooms, each named after a literary figure. Excellent breakfast, 10 mins walk from Exeter centre.

A very friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Great staff....great location
Town House turned to be a perfect choice for our Exeter visit. Arriving late was not a problem - we got helpful instructions on how to get in, beds were comfortable, breakfast was plentiful, staff attentive and helpful, wifi functioning without problems.

Bed not very comfortable, ensuite on the small side
The room was very quaint and clean. The breakfast was delicious! The staff was helpful.
There was a slight smell in the bathroom.
Excellent choice for breakfast. Friendly welcoming and helpful staff.
Absence of sufficient shelving and wardrobe space.
Staff Breakfast Location Comfortable beds Clean Spacious family room
Have stayed in this hotel twice and both times was amazed by the service and how clean and neat rooms were. Each room is decorated differently and has it's own name.
Emergency laundry Excellent breakfast Walking distance to center of Exeter
Parking a bit tricky with a guest permit, but not really a problem
I have stayed here twice now - the first time I was given an unexpected upgrade, the second time I was in the room that I booked, and both times I loved the rooms. Both nicely decorated, clean and comfortable, with fresh coffee in the room. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, with a nice selection of fresh fruit to choose from in addition to the cereals, continental and full English. Easy walking distance to the cathedral and other attractions - would definitely stay here again!
Watch out for the parking outside - it is a mix of residents' parking and two-hour bays, and not always clear which is which!
A great place, very comfortable, beautiful and great value for money. Thank you!
Big amount of breakfast. There are a wide range of fresh fruits, yogurt, croissant, ham and cheese as much as you want. Also the owner makes homemade jam which was absolutely fantastic! Plus good quality of cooked breakfast:) The room was clean and comfortable. 5 mins walk from the station!!
Not actually. If I have to say, the internet connection was not very good as my room was on the top floor but it was not a big problem at all. I was really satisfied with my stay.
The staff, breakfast, excellent value for money. Convenient for city centre and station.
I was upgraded to a lovely twin room, facing over the gardens at the back. Everyone was very friendly, at breakfast there was a wide choice.
even with sat nav a bit hard to find as the sat nav didn't recognize the length of st Davids hill. On street parking
The location was convenient and we walked into town in the evening. The tea and coffee provisions were generous in the bedrooms and the selection at breakfast ample, with fresh fruit and cooked choices. Served in a comfortable dining room Staff were friendly and efficient.
Not so much didn't like, but a couple of comments. Carpets were looking quite tired, and the bedroom blind was stained. The kettle was too big to fill in the sink so we used a glass but this wasn't a problem. I would supply a tray for putting the kettle and cups on as there was a danger of water damaging the wooden vanity unit, likewise coasters for the bedside chests. The light in the bedroom was quite dim but luckily the sun was out so putting on makeup wasn't a problem, using the magnifying mirror provided. That said there were other nice touches such as supply of toiletries, not always expected in a B&B. A folder of local information and maps was most useful.
This guest house has a nice feel- very homely, and located on a nice (and rather quiet) little street in a pleasant area of the city within easy reach of everything. Good bath/shower facilities, very pleasant staff, good local info provided in room. Very nice breakfast room, with a good choice including English breakfast, which looked good though I didn't have it.
Only that I was staying when the weather was very warm and my top- floor single room was too hot and airless for comfort, with only a skylight for ventilation. I wondered if I would get any sleep..however, this has been acknowledged, and there was a fan provided in the room which would have helped had I thought about it!
Location Personal touches Home made Jam Welcome
Very comfortable accomodating, clean, great location to city center and train station. Brillant fresh delicious breakfast
The Town House is a great find. Its location is perfect for Exeter St David's station and also convenient for Exeter Central and for all the sights of the city. Very welcoming staff. Characterful rooms on an author theme gives the place some individuality. There is also a lovely garden. The full English breakfast was superb!
It was all good.
