Comfortable beds and bar on premises. Good breakfast but a bit of a wait for it despite booked a time slot.
Hotel was a bit run down generally and the shower was leaking, curtains in the rooms fell down when pulled over and tv in room initially didn't work. Very steep stairs to get up to the rooms.
The staff were excellent and the food was also very good!
Friendly, helpful and accommodating staff.
Room was directly above the bar so obviously a bit noisy.
Manager making excuses for not making us our breakfast we were all starving why charge you for bed & breakfast !!!!
Stayed 2 nights. Both nights made felt very welcome by owner and staff. We never had breakfast due to early starts but was compensated with evening meal which was excellent. Locals were friendly in bar at night so overall enjoyed our stay
staff are brill food is outstanding a gem great prices i will be back
Really friendly efficient staff, excellent food promptly served, comfortable room, capacious parking. what more could you ask for.
The distance from town centre, it is a 25 to 30 minute walk to the town centre, and a taxi driver told us it is about 2 miles from the whitesands to the hotel, much further than we anticipated walking on a relaxing weekend, also room had no where to hang your clothes no drawers only a pole sticking out from the wall with a couple of coat hangers on it,maybe a health and safety risk here, also the shower using the term very loosly, a wet room with a sprinkle of either boiling water or cold water, then you have the joy of brushing the bathroom floor to get rid of the puddle of water you are left with on the floor, eventually you are left with a soaking wet floor to stand in while using the only mirror in the room to shave or in my case put on some make up, breakfast was ok, the bar area was quite nice and a little beer garden outside was also quite nice if the weather was good, staff were pleasant enough, but overall I would not rate this any more than a licensed guest house with poor amenities, our room was not worth £104 for a 2 night stay poor value for money, also I do not expect a table from the dining room to be in the bedroom as a bedside table.
I had to leave before breakfast so I was offered and took my evening meal, in loo of breakfast. First class
Staff very pleasant and very good prices on drinks. In a good location for the town etc.
Bedrooms are a bit dated but the owner has said he has not been there that long and has been concentrating on the restaurant side. He intends to start modernising the bedrooms this winter.
No reception desk on arrival entrance through bar area
Friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast. Big screen tv in room.
EVERYTHING. Staff & locals very, very welcoming. Nothing to much trouble. Excellent breakfast & great barman who we kept up rather late.
Please get wall mirrors in the rooms not just the en-suite.We ladies like to do our hair in comfort.
We stayed at the park hotel as we had a family party nearby. The staff were very helpful and professional and the room was clean an comfortable. Breakfast was good and excellent value for money.
Helpful staff , good food, lovely restaurant , plenty parking and the price was very good value
I would have liked a bath.but my husband prefers a shower, but that is a small didn't like.
The staff were extremely helpful. The food was good.
Lack of hanging space.
Everyone very friendly, rooms clean and beds comfy, enormous telly in the room !
Only there for 2 nights.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are an excellent size and the wet-room type bathroom very spacious. Beds are a little too firm for me, but that is personal choice. Food (if required) is very good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and plentyful.
The hotel was a little difficult to find. Annan Road is very long and it would have been helpful to have the house number (208) to help with the sat-nav.
Staff couldn't be more helpful. Room pleasant and comfortable. Asked for ironing board and it was there in 2 minutes. Breakfast was really high quality and served in the lovely restaurant. Best hotel I've been in for this price.
Loved the location as a great stopover place for a long journey. Connor, the chief cook and welcomer, had a great accent and a friendly disposition. The breakfast was great....had genuine haggas for the first time. Would recommend to any travelling Aussie.
Staff did far more than they needed too. Very impressed.
Quite a walk from the centre.
Breakfast was very good and freshly cooked, our room was comfortable and the wifi good. We would stay again but hope that a new chef has be recruited by then
Bit disappointed that the menu given on the hotel web site was not available as "the chef had left". The menu had looked so good and we were looking forward to eating there.
