lovely meal in the restaurant and staff very helpful

breakfast didn't start at 8 although was told that time and had to hurry and eat a quick bowl of cereal as my son had to be at ice rink for 8.30am. Staff quickly got the milk etc and were pleasent enough x

lovely hotel , very friendly staff , bedroom goodsize with comfy bed !!!evening meal gorgeous well worth staying at the hotel for and large cooked scottish breakfast !! .Good location not far to travel in to Dumfries . good price to pay and wound recommend to family and friends ! will stay again when I next visit !!!

Food was excellent. Staff were very nice and the chef was really great.

No bath mat in the bathroom. The room was so dull, no lamps, no pictures on the wall and the decor was tired and worn.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The best thing about this hotel is the food which is outstanding for such a budget hotel. The menu is excellent with superbly cooked results.

Lovely hotel, beds where so comfy, smell from restraunt was lovely , staff eager to give breakfast even though we slept past the breakfast time. Good location also 5 min drive or 20min walk from town centre.

The rooms were extremely comfortable, spic and span, the staff friendly and helpful and location in close proximity to town center, eat outs and campuses. The restaurant oozes of charm and elegance whilst bar gives you a chance to hang out and have fun watching sports, drinking good ale and playing games. The hotel made our stay more enjoyable and worth cherishing.

We thought the location of the hotel was perfect for us,as we were in the town center all day attending a family wedding and reception.On returning to the hotel it was nice and quite in the area.Also you could get a drink at the bar and the food and service were excellent.

We loved our visit. The hotel staff where very friendly and helpful, the hotel was just what we were looking for clean and in a great location for sight seeing. Great value for money! We played pool with the children early evening then had a game of cards while having a relaxing beer in the bar, then had a great night sleep The breakfast was delicious with traditional Scottish Haggis and a lovely friendly atmosphere. We thank them very much

The staff vewry helpful and arranged for breakfast earlier than normal many thanks.

Bed was a little old and matress would benfit from upgrade.

Staff were very friendly and helpful and the room was clean.

My only issue was getting in after hours. Someone had thoughtlessly bolted the door which was normally left unlocked. I suggest a different method for out of hours entry for next time.

This hotel is pub and hotel. Our room are above pub area therefor we don't warry about child activty( noise). Breakfast is very good ( lot of milk, juce) hight qualty becon,sausage etc. if want drink then just walk down to pub (We did not but very good idea) Accommodtion accese door is seperate from pub area.
