Convenient location, cheap rate. Staff all very courteous and terribly apologetic about the key mix up (see what we didn't like about our stay). Someone else was given the same room key and used our room while we were out at dinner and then came into the room at 4.00am on their return from a night out and woke us up. We also had to get clean bedlinen as these visitors had spilt beer on the beds while using the room when we were out!!!! Don't stay in room 6 or 9!

The staff at the TownHouse Hotel were very friendly and also happy to help. I didnt like the fact that my bathroom was not in the same room! I had to walk down the stairs and past the Breakfast room to go to the toilet which is a pain espically at night. Also i wasnt happy the fact that i couldnt the kitchen and cleaners using my toilet aswell as i got told that it wasnt a shared bathroom.

The staff at reception and the staff team responsible for breakfast were all helpful and pleasant to deal with. The room needed redecorating. There were stains on walls and holes in the plaster and the bathroom door. The full length net curtains were grey with dirt. The television was at an awkward position to watch satisfactorily. The bathroom was unacceptable. The tiles and shower curtain were dirty and there were visible signs of damp across the whole area of the celing. The toilet brush was disgusting. Apart from that the room was great.

The closeness to downtown glasgow The bathroom was disgusting, it had mold in the shower and smelled like musty water sitting around....the ceiling in the room had water stains on it and the hotel itself smelled musty....all of this is too bad because it has some huge potential to be an awesome hotel but someone needs to sink a little bit of money into it to bring it up to proper standards....wouldnt stay there again unless it was updated.

The best thing about this hotel is it's location as it is perfectly placed in the West End of Glasgow and ideal for exporing the University, Kelvingrove Museum, the new Riverside Museum etc. It is also very near to many good eating places. The price is also reasonable The hotel is very run down and in need of repair and redecoration. The wall in the dining room is splashed with old food and there is a very dirty old window which has been taken out of its frame and is stored in this room.In our room the shower room had tiles falling off round the shower and the ceiling was covered in mould. The radiator was stuck on and the room got very hot. The windows could not be opened.

Everything. The staff were useless, and that is no over statement. They were very unhelpful (upon arrival there were no pillow slips or towels in the room, and no cot! When we asked for them they seemed put out that they had to actually do wome work!)

Not a lot, although the scrambled egg at breakfast was good. Hotel in need of repair and redecoration - lots of cracks and broken bits. Room we had overlooked main road and was very noisy. Also shower drain was blocked with hair and gunk and nearly overflowed. No soap provided.

Good value for money and friendly staff, light airy cool room. Disco music from nearby on the friday night into saturday morning (stopped about 5.30, the time I usually wake up!). Probably ok with window shut, but it was a hot night requiring open window.

We stayed at this hotel as it was close to the arena, within walking distance and because it was cheap. It was good for both these purposes. The breakfast in the morning was also nice We stayed in a room in the basement, and there was some issues with damp as the curtains were mouldy, as was the ceiling where the shower was. However other than this the room was nice. It was also raining heavily when we stayed, and there was water leaking in from the ceilings onto the staircase. In all honesty I would not of liked to have stayed for more than a couple of nights, but it did us for what we needed it for.

Very good location, just 10 minutes from secc and right next to Kelvingrove Museum / Park. Very good except for water leak in breakfast room, staff did apologise for it though. Rooms basic and fairly comfortable but a bit on the noisy side. Staff ok but not brilliant.

Pleasant daytime staff and a good breakfast There is no fire escape from the upper floors making the hotel a fire trap. Trouble with the television - satellite link regularly broke down for 15-20 mins every hour or so - also difficult to tune in initially

The TV did not work in my room. The breakfast was cold. A bit disappointed. I know we did not pay too much but you do expect the use of the TV if there is one in your room and you also expect to have a hot hearty breakfast . Very Disappointed as this was a treat from my boyfriend who travelled from Pitlochry and it was a surprise for him.
