Not one nice thing about it
Staff were very friendly amazingly friendly room was clean and comfortable
Location more than a 15 mins walk to town more like half an hour having to share bathroom and the guest were inconsiderate and loud
Great friendly helpful staff looked after us all well
Room upstairs on floor 1 was far too warm during the night, the 2nd time we stayed was a better room in the basement and had better sleep.
The rooms and bathrooms were not clean
Cheap room within driving distance to city centre, free parking. Quiet area.
Room wasn't great, asked for a double bed and was given two singles. Reception staff were playing Xbox in the front room on arrival. Youths coming and going like it was a youth club (visiting the reception staff), very poor bathroom facilities.
It is stated that it is located 2.2 miles out of the city centre well for starts that's a lie, the staff are a joke and would need to do a customer service course, it is damp and disgusting and we also found a hair in our bed! my boyfriend had just got showered and lay on the bed and when he got up he had a huge black mark on his back from dirt on the bed. absolutely disgraceful. Would not recommend this place to a dog never mind a person.
Showers were not very clean
The two young lads who tried to help.
Bordered up buildings, drug dealer on corner, dirty rooms, no handle on window, second room was worse no towels, excrement on walls, scratched into bedroom door was YOURE DEAD ?? dodgy stairs !!!!!!!!
room door didn't even work, so had to slam each time and i mean SLAM, that caused me or my partner to wake up every time. the bathrooms were blocked, as in every time you shower, people's hair and everything would still be there. the bed sheets were ripped everything wasn't to a high standard!!! Then again, that's the price you pay. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
Not a thing
Basement rooms Poor quality, old busted mattresses Shared bathroom No towels in room No tv throughout hotel No wifi Cereal only for 5 pounds Noisy floorboards and banging doors Dss permanent guests
The staff was reasonably kind and helpful.
The basement rooms are always quite awful, this time even more so. The air was damp and stuffy, the furniture weird mess of leftover stuff. The TV didn't work, nor the "bedside" lamp which we actually found behind the TV when we were leaving. The corridors were dirty and the door of the shared toilet was broken. It seemed like somebody had had a serious fight over it. The overall feeling of the place was very untidy - also the sheets felt like somebody else had sleeped in them before us!
Staff were excellent, helpful, approachable and friendly. Made good suggestions and helpful advice. They arranged a taxi for me which was punctual. Common kitchen had tea and coffee making facilities.
The window in my bedroom was broken but it wasn't an issue from a security point of view, just cool air. My friends who dropped me off commented that the area looked dodgy but I felt safe enough inside a nd would have walked down the street if necessary but had no cause to do so. Not sure the sheets were changed from the previous guest but I didn't notice that till bedtime so there was no time to let reception know. Everything else was clean so probably just an oversight.
Found drugs in bed, dead flys everywhere, cleaning facility's covered in flys and dirt young lad on the reception was rude beds were stained beds weren't made properly under the duvet broken windows overall a disasterous place to stay !!
Separate facilities and shared areas
-Good prices -Spacious room -Friendly staff
-Other guests quite noisy late into the night. -Surrounding location slightly intimidating
The hotel was double booked so I didn't get a room. After 20 minutes of checking things I was offered what was supposed to be a twin room. The room was more like a dorm had 2 bunk beds and the bedding looked dirty. The sky window was shut and it was hot and smelly in the room. I declined the offer for the room and left. The photos of the hotel is not a true representative of it. Over all it was dirty old and there was 2 young kids (aged 16-17) who was in a very street wise outfits in the reception acting as the only people in charge.
Nice staff, good price-quality, good beds and very quiet.
Maybe a bit hard to find.
Totally unorganised at the reception, swearing between themselves, rooms dirty, no hot water at all, very poor hotel.
How cheap it was, friendly staff
Bed was uncomfortable, poor shared bathrooms
nothing staff were drunk and drinking with no shoes on arrival
place was filthy staff were drunk police were called absolutly disgracful never stay there again placed in a basement mould on walls bed springs sticking out dont ever stay here
Comfortable beds. Nice amount of storage space and a clean room.
The shower and toilet were down the stairs from our room. Only a minor inconvenience however.
very poor facility, thanks God my room was given out to someone else days before I booked online. I was given an apology though.
This is cheap accommodation. If your not expecting the ritz its fine. We stayed in a room for 4 with two double beds. The room was clean, just a little dated. We shared a bathroom with everyone on the floor which was clean. It has a hostel atmosphere. The lady on the desk was lovely. If your used to hotels best not to go but if you just want to get your head down this place is fine. The location is good for the city, but when you drive into the area its a little shocking, but ha ho it was all good
