The staff were very helpfull and friendly
The service was exellent good friendly staff
It's cheap and about £10 in a cab to the city centre
My card was charged without my consent. I had explicitly told them before coming that I was paying cash. They charged me anyway, I only found out because after I had paid cash, I heard someone in the back saying my credit card had been approved. I had to fight with them to get my cash back, which is ridiculous. They had no system in place, my booking was on paper, they wouldn't give me a receipt for my cash payment. If I hadn't overheard that comment, I would have been charged twice with no way of knowing until checking my CC statement. By then it would have been too late as they didn't record taking my cash payment!!!! A joke. A dodgy joke. Avoid!
Clean sheet and towles
The staff was rude and unavailable. After booking we tried to contact the hotel several times via mail and booking.com; we didn't get an answer. Wan we came to hotel we had to wait and ring for several minute to enter hotel. Whan a staff member finaly let us in, he was wery rude. On check-out there was nobody on reception. TV remote did not work and the bedroom door was had to close. Furnishing looked old and unatraktive. All in all except price everithing is bad.
Good value and easy to get to from Manchester centre
Bathroom poor and no bed side lamp
The bedroom was very spacious, cony and Clean.
We waited about 20 minutes to check-in, then when we realised there was no en-suit bathroom and toilet with any bedrooms apparently. And the bathroom we had to share was not clean at all. It was really dirty. So we asked for refunde and we had to wait over an hour!! Waste of time!!!
No lights in shower, locks not working in bathrooms, damp mould on walls in bedroom, telly did not work in both the rooms we had booked, overall very poor. Full of long term council tenants, the police were at the hotel two of the three nights we were there just avoid.
The hotel was awful it was filth pure filth.hasnt been cleaned before we had been there .hairs all over the floor. Shared bathroom is one thing then it was out off order. Really really disappointed .seemed it was a safe house for teens that have been chucked out there house
Our rooms where nothing like the pictures advertised, it was more on par with a contractors B&B. Our rooms had not been hoovered & our smoke alarm had been covered with a plastic bag. The room had a strong smell of smoke and there was mold on the corner of the walls at low level. We checked in and promptly checked out.
Receptionist was lovely
Check in was from 2pm but room was not ready for us until at least 3.30. Communal bathroom between multiple rooms of at least what appeared to be 4 people. Unstable bunk beds. Dirty pillow cases/towels/sheets. Holes in the wall. Window would not shut as handle was already broken off. No heating or hot water in sink.
didn't like anything do not use the hotel again would not recommend
did not like the hotel would not recommend dirty poorly managed i don't know how they could sell that place as a hotel very very poor
The staff are wonderful
The heater doesn't work well for two days
Friendly staff, clean and great value
Nothing - this is a budget hotel and hotel reflects that.
Excellent friendly and very helpful staff Cleaniness good value for money Easy acess to transport and shopping area
Shortage of number of showers Can be noisy some time Non availability of kettle, coffe, and tea making facility in the room.
Really cheapest price.
Is not a really clean place to stay and be carful spiders and other small animals. But if you want stay one night lime me and spend a very cheapest price is fine. But only for pne night.
Price. Location good for town .
Noise during night. Pillow cases not cleAn, one bed didnt have a duvet despite asking for it to be done b4 we went out . No tv despite room description stating there was one,. Vv difficult to open and shut room door ??? If there was a fire the speed we would get out
The conditions of the room are very poor. One bathroom for about 10 rooms and it was dirty for most of the time (no brush to cleaning the toilet and a lot of humidity) and not hot water in the tap in the morning so it was difficult to shave. And at the beginning in the time of purchase I was not aware of that. One of the bed in the room been crushing (just falling down) and it was totally cold in the room for the most of the stay. I wouldn't recommend the room to anyone and soon will send the pictures to ask for the part of money back, because this is not the hotel but something of the standard of the guest house.
As we arrived from a 3 hour train journey, we were expecting what was stated on the website a hotel that was near to Manchester airport. However in reality the hotel was a good 20-25 minutes from the airport. Also, the website had stated there would be a free shuttle bus to and from the hotel to the terminal. This also was not true as we were told to order a taxi instead. We were greeted at the reception by pleasant staff however when shown our room (which could only be described as the cupboard under the stairs as seen in the popular film Harry Potter and the philosophers stone) the room was unkept with a variety of insects and the furniture was in terrible condition. Also the TV was extremely small and we spent a good 15 minutes playing around with the aerial to receive a decent signal for the 5 channels. The shared bathroom was clean however the shower was broken and extremely cramped. In conclusion, I would recommend anyone to look elsewhere for a hotel as the standard was in fact nowhere near as high as advertised.
The staff were friendly and helpful
The lack of cleanliness - we had to get bedding changed, floor still had crisps and sauce packets on it, light broke in bathroom so couldn't shower before bed. We know you get what you pay for but a certain standard of hygiene is expected irregardless of price.
Minimal showers and ones that work are busy and take ages to get into unless your up super early. Dirty bed, room, and bathrooms. No sleep because the matress is so bad that the springs can be felt on your back. Can't stress enough how bad this place is. Never given any review before but I feel I'm doing what's right by highlighting this place. I'd be annoyed at £5.00 per night. In fact you would beed to pay me to stay there.
Wee tervor was a legend very helpful also the girl dueing the day was a lovely a girl i have nothing atall bad to say about if ur looking 5 stars go stay in a 5 star hotel its cheap cheerful and dead on
Staff didnt even try and help us and very unhelpful. They all started passing the blame about to colleagues who where not on site
Friendly staff very clean room
no wardrobes for hanging clothes television not working shared bathroom on different floor from room
Dirty place with no proper breakfast facility
dirty bathrooms , dead flys in the bath . bedroom walls dirty and stained with damp . very uncomfortable bed . know that this is a budget hotel but the rooms looked like they hadn't been cleaned in months
