brilliant , spotless hotel highly recommended
to far from city centre that is the only fault
was nit and clean
bed was not comfortable enough.found it hard not to smoke.
The staff were very good and the food we had whilst we were there was very good
Staff were friendly and had plenty of banter, decent value for money and grub was spot on
Hallways and bathrooms a little run down, room we stayed in was a little small. Found a eyelash stuck to the cupboard
everything...excellent customer service, excellent home cooked food, clean and comfy rooms.
Friendly staff..and offered home cooked food at very cheap prices..spotlessly clean
The place is filthy the pictures on booking.com ain't the actual place I won't be back
The hotel was very noisy. We could hear a man upstairs snoring loudly and the key we were given that supposedly opened the front door didn't work leaving us locked out. There was also litter stuffed into a hole in the wall. Make of that what you will.
Karen and Paul have taken over management and are in the process of turning around the premises.
Unfortunately the upstairs bathroom shower did not work.
Bed was propped up with a piece of wood underneath bed making it uncomfortable and unsteady. Loud lodgers and nobody controlled sound levels. No kettle or hairdryer in room. No bin!!!!!! Mouse trap in room!!!!! Television broke
Very welcoming and helpful when we arrived and a clean and decent room for what we payed. They ordered us a taxi to the shopping centre which cost about £7 pounds and the same when we went out at night.
Wasn't aware the bathroom was for everyone on our corridor but that was fine anyway as we were only there for the one night.
Thought this place was great value for money and the front of house staff were very courteous and attentive, it was good that there wasn't a curfew
Our room wasn't as clean and tidy as expected from the images, our bed had a hole in the footboard and could have done with a sweep, as there was dirt and rizlas on the floor, the cleaner generally did a bad job, several times the loos were dirty and out of loo roll. Feel this should be marketed as a hostel rather than a hotel due to the shared bathrooms and general atmosphere.
Staff looked after our needs and accommodated all our needs
Booking.com didn't record our booking of the hotel hence the reason the hotel didn't recognise us when we checked in.
Good location, friendly staff, good sized room!
Reasonable price, nice, helpful staff, warm room, comfortable bed, convenient to take bus to city center, every where is clean. Although it doesn't has high quality as 5 star hotels, it's worth living because of the advantages mentioned. I will surely live there next time.
It's easy to hear sounds from other rooms but most of the time it's quiet unless you have a noisy neighbor. The TV doesn't work.
Staff were super friendly
Friendly and helpful personnel
Heating worked 1 night from 5, it was cold in the room, also no warm water in the bathroom (except shower).
The frequent amount of buses in and out of the city centre
The hard beds. The gap in the window frame that let the cold in. The amount of bathrooms out of order
I booked a room based on what I saw on your website and got a room which pushed me not to sleep in your premises for another night, cause I booked 2 nights and I only slept there on Saturday, the bed has only a duvet no bed sheet, two hard pillows, plus you didn't inform me the toilet was a sharing,I'm disappointed and I want half the money I paid, cause this is pure robbery, room number 17 sucks Ooh I couldn't even bath early in the morning cause your water was cold, there was no hot water on my floor.I want my £37.5 back
The staff were very helpfull and friendly
The night porter was very helpful & polite.
The images on booking.com are deceiving so when arriving it was very disappointing. The bathrooms were unclean and the walls were dirty as well as there being dust and hairs on the floor of our bedroom. We paid £5.00 each for breakfast and ended up leaving to go eat at McDonald's. For £5.00 you were provided with slices bread, a toaster, some cereal and frozen milk along with dirty mugs for hot drinks. It was unpleasant and the manager did nothing to make our stay more pleasant. Would not recommend the place.
I stayed in this hotel on Friday night with a group of friends as we were heading out for a birthday in town. We all found the accommodation excellent value for money! Tye (a staff member) was especially friendly and welcoming :) Location is excellent for getting into Manchester for the bars/clubs etc as it was only a £5 taxi ride away. I would definitely stay here again :)
