Warning do not stay at this hotel! We requested a quiet room. We were shown a room and told it was the quietest room in the hotel. Turned out the room was right over a niteclub / dj / bar which the receptionist working there for 4 years knew about and did not disclose. That night the music was so loud that when we were transferred to the third floor we could still hear it. The smell of cigarette smoke on the third floor was disgraceful and drunk people running around the corridors. The mattress was very uncomfortable and old. Pubs and Clubs across the road so dont expect any sleep. Pizza over-priced at 8 stg you can get a beautiful pizza across the road for 3 stg. Manageress never returned any of our phone calls. Porter was actually very nice. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Stay at a different hotel in Derry were staff are much more professional and would not lie to customers.

Very central location, excellent for nights out in the city There was no shampoo in the bathroom which I found very annoying and also no iron in the room which was very inconvenient. Price was very dear also for the hotel.

Central location was so wonderful - we walked everywhere - even to the University where my daughter was staying. The friendliest staff ever, as well as all of the Derry natives. Beautiful, beautiful city and people. If you're on a budget, or just want ultimate convenience to everything, this is the place to stay. Could have had blow dryers in the room, instead of asking the front desk and having to go down and get them - but, not a big deal.

Friendiness of reception staff and price. I stayed in room 207. After a busy day and late evening of work I looked forward to a good nights sleep, however this was not the case. I slept on an uneven matress that gave me the impression that it was past its "use by date". It took me quite a while to settle and when I did I was awakened by young revellers shouting from outside on the street. I tried to close the window to help drain this commotion, but it seemed to be twisted and broken and therefore would not close. I was glad to return home the following evening for a better nights rest!!

There is a 5-second fire alarm screaming at 12:00PM when I was sleeping, however, no one has told us what to do. I had to get up and check out. The breakfast is very poor and expensive.

Location Window did not close properly, which faced out onto busy strand road, also faces onto strand bar, noisy at weekends. Rooms were shabby, furniture cheap etc, not worth room rate, however if you get £29 room deal, it is worth it. If you are looking for a good night sleep, dont bother.but if you are looking to go out and party, location is good

The room was large, quiet and comfortable. The sheets were acrylic and this makes one cold sweat during the night. The sink and toilet had no water pressure so sink water was a trickle and toilet did not flush which would make sharing the bathroom embarrassing.
