Swimming pool, breakfast and the room was very nice with a good, clear view of the beech. Some parts of the hotel were a little dated. |

The food was very good, and the staff were very attentive and pleasant. The outlook from the dining room was fantastic. It would have been very usful to have an information pack in the bedroom - explaining times of meals, availability of picnic lunches, how to operate the TV, and how to operate the electric heater in the room (14) and any other general information about the resort and beauty spots. |

The view from room 5 was superb looking down on the beach and the hotel was close to the town centre The food was distinctly average and there was no hot water in the morning at 5.30am when I had to get up. |

Central location. Fantastic views. Swimming pool. Clean. Friendly helpful staff. Food plain but good & good size portions Shower old & difficult to regulate temperature. Had to have bath instead. Television small & very old, the reception was dreadful & couldn't get itv. For a hotel of this size they should update. We moved onto a small bed & breakfast which had much better room facilities. |

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Service in the dining room was excellant. The bedrooms could do with a major overall. During the course of our stay we had three different rooms, all of which needed modernisation. Fourposter was not too bad except for the creaking floor boards. |

Its proximity to the town and the beach and the fact that it had car parking I felt there was an exaggerated sense of the standard of quality by the Hotel management. It may have once been a grand Hotel but it had long since lost its edge and was caught in a 1960's time warp style wise. I also feel the management were anxious to get any extra money from guests that they could. On arrival both I and at least 8 other guests were kept waiting up to an hour which we spent in the bar having drinks and coffee and it was only on my insistence that I needed to get to my room that all rooms suddenly became available. There was also an extra charge for both washing and drying facilities. Breakfast has waiter service only and even though cereals etc were on display guests could not help themselves. Poor atmosphere |

Staff were very friendly, polite and helpfull. A good family run business.Car parking was good considering location. Breakfast served at a specific time 8.15 am onwards, not very good for a business meeting at 9.00 am 10 miles away. |

I loved the sea views, access to the beach, closeness to the centre, but far enough away to avoid the noise. Lovely location and first class breakfast. It looked like it could do with a lick of paint on the outside. Also there was space outside our room to make a balcony. |

The screnery from the dinning room was breathtaking. As it was my wife's 60th birthday it would have been nice to have had a bed room with a view. All staff were very pleasnt and helpful. The hotel is situated very central to the town. Food very good. Bedroom decor very dated. Night entertainment could have been better. |

Staff were very attentive.Views were Spectacular. Wi-Fi didn't work, Room was a bit dated. Not really geared up for Biz travel. Had to pay as I went, rather than running a tab and paying on departure. Not being an MP I need receipts for everything. |

Staff were pleasant and very helpful on arrival and during our stay. Views from the hotel were impressive. Although the decor is not modern the atmosphere is homely and relaxed. The hotel is ideally placed to get to centre of everything you need in Newquay. You can just enjoy the views from the hotel and I liked the access available down to the beach from the hotel. Would recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay in Newquay. |

The beautiful view of the Atlantic ocean and their indoor pool. Nice resturant on site also that offers a three course meal in the evening if you book at the front desk for your room (smart casual dress:nice shirt and jeans or slacks (T-shirts not the best). Private beach shared with the surfers. The bed springs could be felt when you slept and the door to the bathroom did not shut easily. You needed to hold it shut and then bolt it shut like a restroom stall. Very small TV, but you could watch from bed. |

With superb sea views, comfortable en suite rooms and a stylish modern bar, the Carnmarth Hotel looks out to sea over Fistral Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the UK. |
