We loved the relaxing feel of the hotel with beautiful grounds and very comfortable room. Very nice breakfast too. Hope to stay there again when in the area

The character of the building, the rooms and the grounds. The location in proximity to places of interest. Friendly hosts and staff. The calm and stillness of the place. A perfect base for a romantic getaway.

We were simply amazed by the tranquillity of the house and its surroundings. An incredibly comfortable and luxurious feel, all made that much more inviting by Marco and family. We will definitely be returning to Tredethy House as it offers value and opulence in breath taking scenery.

Our only gripe was that we couldn't stay longer.....the weekends are far too short.

Our whole experience was perfect for our 5 day holiday at Tredethy House.From the warm welcome, to our departure,Marco made us feel totally at ease. The food, cleanliness, room, staff were 1st. class. We will be returning soon to carry on where we left off.

Location, surroundings. Attractive building. Owner / staff friendly and helpful.

Would have liked a bacon & eggs option for breakfast, but what provided with was healthy and wholesome. A glass or two in bathroom would be useful, for toothbrush. This was pointed out and accepted, so maybe will be there on next visit. Not easy to find, even with Sat-nav, but well worth the effort.

Location excellent, very clean and tidy, excellent views and easy to get to.

The trattoria was not open when we visited

i think it is more of a summer stay venue rather than winter, it was a bit cold and lifeless.

The house was outstanding rooms were first class excellent food all rooms clean and warm marco the owner was very helpful and friendly ,lyn who prepared breakfast was nice and polite ,cannot fault house in any way

The situation of Tredethy House is ideal for visiting both coasts of Cornwall. It is a very quiet and relaxing house and we were made most welcome by Marco, his wife and his staff.

The hotel is situated at the countryside of Bodmin. Very nice rooms, luxury equipped and excellent cleaned. Very good italian fresh made food at Dinner. Breakfast buffet and service was excellent. The hotel has a calm and fine athmosphere. Good for relaxing and enjoying the landscape. I really enjoyed the stay.

Very comfortable and tidy lodging. Very efficient, helpful and friendly staff. Excellent prepared meals. A most enjoyable visit.

Beautiful well maintained old house in a country setting

Our room had no view and faced the owners accommodation, and his dog which was kept in the yard barked whenever we talked with the window open, and then again in the middle of the night which woke me up. The Italian owner also wasn't particularly welcoming in our opinion.

We had to ring the bell to alert the owner that we had arrived and he wasn't pleased to be disturbed at all. He had only organised 1 of the 2 rooms we had booked and was grumpy that he was to do another - as per our booking. We ordered the evening meal and all had to be in the dining room at 7.30pm. We were not served food until 8.30pm - all other tables had been given 1 or 2 courses by then!! Servings were minute and no meat - vegetarian only although there was cold meat at breakfast.He had only 1 bottle of red wine left or house red available (@ £16.99 litre) no Prosecco. The owners barely spoke to us & we were there to celebrate my birthday, felt like we were intruding on their space. My daughter had joined us from Australia too. We felt the owner didn't like people. He didn't welcome us and we didn't meet his wife. He took until 9.30pm to give us the WiFi code - much sighing involved - and it changed at midnight!!! He has much to learn about treating guests better.

Lovely location. Excellent homemade breakdown - everything freshly cooked. Good choice for veggie evening meals.

Music in the reception rooms was not to our taste.
