Decent quality for the price .The breakfast was also very good. Bathrooms were a little old, but still useable. Would have been nice to have slightly more modern amenities.

Staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere of the hotel was homely and very welcoming. You immediately feel like a valued guest and are treated like a local. The restaurant/pub is cosy and small with a relaxed and local feel to it and serves fabulous food. Can highly recommend it as it is a real find for the price.

I liked the relaxed, but helpful and friendly attitude of the young staff and proprietor. A friendly atmosphere in the public areas that made them a nice place to sit, read the paper and have a drink. A nice vibe to the place as a whole. The food was excellent. Our room was clean and bright and spacious. The location with a walk along the river to Oxford was lovely. The shower head was broken and fittings a bit worn, its due for some basic maintenance.

We were pleasantly suprised by the hotel as the family room we booked for 3 ladies was large and the bed settee had been made up for the 3rd lady so 2 of us did not have to share the double bed. The bathroom had both a bath and a walk in shower and was more than adequate. The hotel is in alovely village with a near by pub and pretty walks along the river. Good value for money.

Not knowing Oxford we were surprised to discover that the hotel is in the most beautiful tiny village of Iffley within walking distance of the historic village and the Thames River. Very relaxing. While our preference had been to stay in the centre of Oxford in the future I would definitely choose to stay here. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and accommodating.

Great location, 45 min walk along canal to Oxford, lovely village. The room was old looking. The mattress on the bed was worn and I could feel and hear the springs. The breakfast was poor and whilst the continental brakfast was ful, for vegetarians...there was beans on toast. Also breakfst was from 7.30am to 8.30am-- really for the convenience of the hotel, but not customer focused on guest needs.

Friendly and helpful staff. Very good food, nicely presented. Good sized rooms, although they need refurbishment. Parking available. Ten minute drive to the city, or park up in the park and drive.

We were very happy with our Stay at the Tree Hotel, we were going to a wedding just on the next street and this hotel was much cheaper than the one holding the wedding. We found the staff friendly, and the rooms were a mixture of old meets modern, they were clean and comfortable and we would happily stay there again. The cooked breakfast was also very tasty.

Good Parking, room sufficiently spacious and comfortable as a solo. Clean and thoughful standard provision in an old-fashioned environment. Asian management are efficient.Best of all is the restaurant. Excellent curry menu, not extensive but varied, fully freshly made and delicious. A good enough reason to return.

We loved where the hotel was situated!, The food was excellent, the staff were the most polite staff we have come across on our travels!!, We have travelled a lot abroad and the uk. We did read a lot of negative write ups about Hotel!!, They must have stayed in a different Hotel than we did!!! We would go back if we lived nearer just for the food!!!....

Very little. If I'd wanted a cheap room above a noisy pub, I'd have found somewhere for a lot less money Bedrooms were cold and bare. Breakfast in the bar was not ideal Very much overpriced and not great value for money. Will not be staying there again

Food was good apart from the fact that they got it wrong. Two main courses ordered exactly the same, one came 30 minutes earlier than the other, and the second was not the same as the first!!even though very tasty. Good breakfast, though on the menu it stated fresh fruit, there was no fruit available. The staff were very friendly and offered us a second room afetr we complained about the first, however the second had a small double bed and was far darker than the first so we opted to stay in the original room.Sadly the hotel needs a facelifet, the rooms need brightening, the mattress needs changing, the carpet needs fixing, the lights need better bukbs, and the leaky toilet needs sorting out.Apart from that, if you want a budget hotel but with tasty food, even if its not what you ordered, this is for you.Its a 40 min walk to the centre of Oxford and very easy walk at that.I wont stay again as I prefer better even if it costs me more..
