Bed, breakfast and location
Lovely looking hotel. Room was bright and we had enough room for our bags on the extra bed. Staff were good with our dinner service especially when there was a wedding on at the same time. Lovely area to go walking in.
Room was on the hotel carpark side and a bit noisey. Bathroom (especially the shower) was a tat small.
This is in a beautiful village setting with very good access to central Oxford via the River Thames towpath or local bus. The room was very spacious and the dining room menu was very good value for money.
The only thing I liked was the proximity to a beautiful walk by Iffley Lock. Staff did not promote this!! Beds were comfortable.
The room. Tatty and dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. There was a continuous 'ticking' noise all night. Plumbing was extremely noisy. Breakfast was awful, even the 'toast' was not toasted! We were given twin beds, booked a double bedded room. I have very little positive to say about our stay.
Food was good both the breakfast and evening dining. Bedroom was large. Good location in a picturesque village a lovely walk into Oxford.
The bathroom was like something from a hostel. Not the cleanest. Dusty. Massive damp patch. A few stains on bathroom and bedroom wall. Despite these we had a lovely stay.
Staff very helpful and friendly Breakfast reasonable.
Rooms though comfortable are very dated, bathroom very poor. Needs modernisation.
Staff were rude, the general cleanliness of the room i stayed in was appalling.
The friendliness of staff and the evening food excellent
The English breackfast not very nice and do not think hVing decide night before th
Dinner & breakfast was great. Homely atmosphere!
Tricky to find! But finally found it!
Lovely building in an outstanding village location. Really surprised when I arrived as the area surrounding was very built up but, when turning into Iffley it was like passing through a portal. Hotel staff welcoming; room excellent, although the bathroom could benefit from an upgrade; good breakfast. I took the bus into Oxford centre and back, about 10 minutes. Would stay again.
Only the bathroom, nothing wrong, just a bit tired.
That on bankingday the day that we leave the hotel back to the netherlands she dont serve breakfast on 8 oclock pm that u wirhoyt food have to go
The location was very good and the staff were very helpful. The food we had in the restaurant was enjoyable and good.
The room had streaks of damp in the bathroom area on the walls and also damp areas on the ceiling of the bedroom. Fittings were basic. We did not like having football on at breakfast with the sound turned up. The screen was located just behind our table. We do not like football and we did not like the noise as it made it hard to talk.
Wonderful location in quiet village near to Thames, but with easy access to Oxford town-centre by bus. Evening menu features more Indian dishes than English, so will suit all lovers of Indian food.
En suite shower lacks power. Breakfast is no more than average.
food , staff
noisy piping I think ..but bit of noise during night
Garden looked pretty.
Dated, staff appeared lazy and the mix of interior styles did not help to create a relaxing stay.
Location. Comfortable bed. Spacious room. Restaurant (although we didn't eat there). Friendly staff. Big bathroom. Parking. Breakfast included in price.
Decor in room wasn't great (not a problem though). Ordering breakfast the night before. Nothing not to like really.
staff friendliness Comfortable beds
Hotel grubby Shower just a trickle of water Bathroom walls stained
Friendly staff and good wifi !
VERY NOISY! Breakfast standard was quite poor!!
Its proximity to the Iffley Lock which is a place that must be toured more often when people are in Oxford.
Giving rooms at 2.30. Ideally you should give rooms at 12. When travellers pay, it should be a 24 hour system. Other than that it was relatively decent.
No breafast. Noisy. Hard bed.
the location was very peacefull
shower and rather small bed
The bathroom needs renovation.
Pretty location fairly close to public transport and nice walks. Good restaurant and bar.
The bedroom and bathroom were not very clean, furniture wasn't in good condition. Didnt like having to order breakfast choice the previous day and specify what time we were going to be coming down for it.
Within walking distances of Oxford.
nice village atmosphere
room looked better than it actaully was, looked like it had a hot tub, but wasn't working. Bathroom needs modernising. no care really visible.
