The landlady Chris was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for her; her sole aim was to ensure that we had a loveley holiday, and this we had. The rooms were spotless, with full facilities. Her breakfasts were superb, and really set us up for the day. We would fully recommend Tregella Hotel.

The hospitality was just excellent. Our host could not have been more helpful, providing us with a welcoming that just what we needed after a long journey. The room was delightful, the amenities were clean and tidy, all our expectations were met, well above from what we expected. The location was ideal, close to the town but near the sea with the most spectacular views.

The welcome was very warm and we felt that nothing would be too much trouble; just ask if there was anything etc etc. The location particularly for Newquay which has parking problems in the Town was very good, with just outside the door street parking, virtually the only traffic in the area being the other hotels' guests. It is located on the sea front and even if one's room is on the back of the hotel, there are excellent walking possibilities right from the hotel, and seating in the front garden to admire the view or just chill. The area is very quiet at night unlike the main part of Newquay, which has so many tourists, and it felt a very safe part of the Town. The quality of the food was excellent, and all individually cooked, and unlike some hotels seemed choice products rather than the often offered cheapest purchases. Bacon and sausages worthy of particular mention - no streaky at this hotel! Would we stay there again? Yes, I would, as it was friendly and very very clean, and one could come and go freely. The small downside was the washhand basin being in the room itself, which wouldn't have mattered if a couple or singleton were using the room, but we were older sisters who not having shared accommodation since we were very small children found this somewhat awkward. Having said that the owner did agree to our suggestion that an additional shelf in the small shower/toilet room would be very useful and enable that to be used more easily.

Fantastic, simply fantastic from the moment we knocked on the door to the minute we left, it was like staying with family and friends we were made to feel so welcome. Spotlessly clean, warm and welcoming, We even had an extra night, we felt so at home. Keep up the good work Cris and Tony, we will only visit our friends in Newquay again when you have a vacancy.

Uitstekende service, zeer vriendelijk onthaal. Gratis parking. De kamers zijn erg gedateerd en de ensuite badkamer was eerder een washok dan een badkamer. Maar de prijs is dan ook wel lager dan bij de grote hotels.

“The location on Fistral Beach, Cornwall is fantastic, with stunning view of the rugged coastline. The hotel is perfectly located for country and beach walks but is also within walking distance of the town of Newquay, which is well known for its surfing and nightlife. The facilities are excellent, including a spa, swimming pool and fitness suite, conferencing rooms and bar and restaurant. The staff were also very helpful and friendly at all times.” Sharon, Hove |
