Tregenna Hotel  

Location was good for my purpose. Breakfast was welcome and enjoyed.

Greeting was not welcoming, since reception had Not been advised of my arrival late. Payment was demanded immediately. Bar - was not warm- the beer was lacking a head. The first glass was dirty the room was very cold , no radiators working. I resorted to donninig all my available clothes and hat to go to bed! Bathroom needed regrouting and joins resealing/ Great pity - used to have a good experience a few years ago.

The staff were very friendly and polite the beds were clean and very comfortable and the breakfast was more than adequate and I would not hesitate to return to the hotel in the future in fact I would say it's a near certainty I will return

Lack of garden and outlook

Interior design was great, friendly, helpful staff.

Could do with at least one more member of staff, as the few staff members appeared rushed off their feet trying their best to make everyone feel at home.

All staff were lovely, especially Marissa. All was ideal for our needs of evening meal for 16, in the end, 03/04/13 &...all said their food was delicious and also for our 'Wake' the following afternoon 04/04/13.

Sadly tv in room 9 not working & no soap on sink.

Good location for the Brecon Beacons (busses or car).

It's not a hotel for people looking for luxury. Could do with a refurb/deep clean. But fine for us hikers who just want a comfortable bed and proximity to busses.

Request for extra heater promptly dealt with discount on extra occupant waived because of mentioned issues might recommend on budget grounds

Hot water took 5 minutes to get through empty wine bottle missed on top of wardrobe from previous occupants room very cold even with heating on

The hotel were not aware of our reservation and arrival time.

Friendly comfortable hotel which was ideally placed for access to Cardiff and the Millennium Stadium and for discovering family history in Dowlais, Penny Darren and Tredegar.

Nothing really although for a comment the decor is a bit tired. I notice no Welsh option under language!!!

The location was good for us, breakfast was nice with good service.

The service in the restaurant was very slow and the food was not to our liking. The bedroom and bathroom was not very clean and there were cobwebs on the ceiling. The shower did not work properly,

absolutely disgustingly filthy hotel. Dirty walls, broken furniture, cobwebbs on ceiling, curtains and pole, broken light fitting labelled DO NOT USE, filthy toilet seat and toilet, running tap on constant, mouldy windows, dirty coffee cups and tray, dust encrusted skirting boards etc etc etc

The staff were really nice and made us very welcome. The room was nice and big with more then enough storage space. The location was really easy to find and positioned really close to the town centre

The shower in our room took alot of adjusting and when it did find temperature was not very powerful and was leaking alot

Friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and warm. breakfast was just what we wanted

Clean, tidy room, excellent value for money. In fact I'd be surprised if you could do better! A nice, tasty breakfast, despite the fact I was down slightly late in the morning. I wouldn't hesitate to go back again if the situation required it!

I would struggle to find anything that could be improved bearing in mind the price.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. Overall it was very good value for money.

Only stayed 1 night but staff looked after us like old friends, basic but clean and tidy would stay again.

I was really dissapointed in the Hotel as awhole and have written my first review on Trip Advisor because of this. We were seperated as a group with 2 rooms off of the car park in chalet like accommodation and the other room was in the main building. I am suprised that you are happy to promote this Hotel as it is shabby, tired, dated, neglected and above all the rooms were really dirty especiallythe bathroms
