Friendly staff, nice room, good food,
Warm and friendly, food excellent.
being close to the mountins exelent and plenty food good value for money friendly staff flexible time for meals
(leaving the comfortable bed in the mornings).
The staff are friendly and the location is handy for the town centre, Off street parking is available. The breakfast is excellent and despite the shortcomings (no lift poor shower) for a short stay it is good value for money.
There is no lift so elderly couples need to ask for a ground floor room. The shower in the bath is unreachable for anyone under 5ft 8". The room was clean but the mattress was hard.
5 minutes from shopping main roads and main attractions are a good drive in pretty settings are close by
I couldn't say a thing about it i didn't like
breakfast was fab
very warm in the room.Plus the duvet was extra warm too.It would be great for a cold winder but not for August.
Three cold showers More like a motel Rip off Bad customer service Rubbish cleanliness
The bar breakfast the evening meal the room everything really.
Clean Good location
Seemed ok at first glance.
- very dusty and other problems, eyes and nose irritated and- or painfull within minites. Never had such a stong reaction to dust, even had a nose bleed. - we felt very unsafe. No decent lock on the room and other aspects. - huge damp problem, wet spots on walls, towels would not dry, mirror and window were also proof of this huge damp problem that most be going on for long. Nobody cared enough to clean the windows, dirtiest I ever saw. Mould is very unhealthy. - furniture and appliances are old, broken and dirty. E.g. no light bulb in the lamp, bad bed, we did not dare to use the tea maker. Missing parts of furniture etc. - heating was not working. For a bit when we asked. We were told there was a problem with the boiler. - shower only gave very hot water. Not safe to shower the kids. - the air from the kitchen was blown right into our room windows. Not a pleasant smell. There was also a smell of fire and smoke. - when we complained and checked out two days early we did not receive the response one would expect. The problems I mentioned were to much to write down, I was asked to write a letter to the manager!??? Still had to pay. What a horrible way to treat people, especially childeren. My 4-year old was very upset we had to move again. What a horrible way to make money, not caring one little bit about the well being, comfort or the littlest respect for you guests. Shamefully. Room should be closed till everything is sorted out.
staff very nice great location
out of date toilet very hard to flush
The staff member behind the bar was helpful and friendly and the Brie and Bacon starter I had as a snack was good.
Only seemed to be two members of staff around. The man on reception who also served breakfast and the lady who served me in the bar. On arrival I had a very muted welcome and no help was offered to take my suitcase up the two flights of stairs ( no lift) , the man on reception just let me struggle with a heavy case. I asked to order a taxi to a venue I was going to for the evening, he didn't seem to know where the place was in the town, and then when I came down at the agreed pick up time, no taxi to be seen. It was left to the other female staff member to call me another one as it seemed the man on reception had forgot to book it ! Breakfast consisted of one juice (orange) and a small selection of boxed cereals, the full English was lacking in taste and variety and all served by the reception chap from the night before who barely uttered a friendly word.
Evening meal was very good value for money
Not enough tv channels
very friendly hotel staff, quiet neighbourhood, clean linen, tea making equipment
had difficulty to sleep (snoring noice transpired through the thin walls; felt the metal of the spring mattress); the bathroom needs looking after
varied and comprehensive menu, generous portions, cooked on site by a professional chef On-site parking large comfortable bed room
lack of a comfy chair lounge without a TV
Staff were polite. Breakfast was reasonably priced.
Decore needs updating throughout. New mattress required. We were booked in for breakfast (for 3 people) and 3 of the 4 days we were seated at tables made up for 2 so had to get an extra chair ourselves. Kept being woken up in middle of night/early morning when other guests were on way in/out as our room was adjoining the car park. 2 of the 4 nights we had to park the car on the road as there was not enough space on the car park.
Me and my partner have stayed at this hotel before and we loved it, this visit around we were in a different room but everything was still perfect and its a lovely place that we will definitely be coming to.
Overall we loved everything about this place, but the only thing we didnt really like which cannnot be helped was that in our room there was a spider on the ceiling and quite a few spider eggs aswell, but these things happen and my partner easily got rid of it.
It was my wife birthday and they put them self out to make our stay very welcome. The bedroom we had it had a four poster bed in it at no extra cost. The food and hospitality was excellent. Will definitely stay there again.
My room was clean, comfortable and pleasant, The staff were exceptionally helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was very good. Parking on site extremely useful. The one evening meal we had was excellent. Directions to the hotel were clear and accurate . .
I couldn't access Wifi with my iPad which was a minor irritation( and a feature of the iPad I think).
Clean and tidy. Helpful and friendly staff
Very friendly, helpful staff. Took the time to ask me of my needs during my stay and then not only met those needs ,but far exceeded them.
I went to Wales for three nights and visiting my family. I love travelling by trains. Also in the future I will go again.
Location only - but would go to the travelodge next time...
Staff very poor, no one to let us in at night, room was very unclean, breakfast was very off putting.
Basic, in a quiet spot and good value for money. Breakfast is additional, also good value for money. City centre is near by.
Nice people /clean rooms/good food
