Trelawney Hotel - Guest House  

The owners were really friendly, and took time to chat and Give advice. The breakfast was freshly cooked and was very Nice.

Parking was a bit of a problem. We also were a bit cold in the room when we came back in after a day out!

Rosie and Jim are very friendly people, the hotel is very welcoming and presentable. We were made to feel very welcome and were accommodated as quickly as possible following our early arrial. The standard of cleanliness is very high. Breakfast is excellent and no trouble to provide anything you ask for. Would highly recommend this Hotel whether just for one night or one week.

Fabulous! Rosie & Jim are professional, hospitable and kind. The Trelawney Hotel is clean and each room is well-furnished. The well-chosen individual colour schemes make it more special, eg My son's room & mine looked totally different, unlike most "clinical" hotels. Already planning 2 return visits, me with my partner Mike and my son with his young children. Well-worth a visit.

This guest house is outstanding in every way. We could not find a single fault and is great value for money. We would definitely return and would recommend to others.

Comfortable, quiet and very clean place to stay. Rose and Jim are very friendly and welcoming. Although we stayed on the New Year's Eve and the hotel is very close to the sea and the town centre, we had a quiet and relaxing time there. I definitely recommend it.

Jim and Rosie were the perfect hosts. One of the few - certainly the only hotel at this price range - which offered private (and free) parking for our four motorcycles. Rooms were clean, service excellent, location good, first class freshly cooked breakfast - just wished we had been able to stay longer, maybe next time. The other reviews on Booking.com say it all really. The best value for money in Torquay.

Staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. Very clean and nicely decorated. The location was also ideal for our stay.

Stayed there the night before my wedding with my maid of honor and then on my wedding night with my husband. We had a beautiful 4 poster bed and the room was lovely. Rose and Jim couldn't do enough for us to make our stay wonderful. Even allowing us to take over their Lounge to get our hair done. Thank you for helping to make our day so special.

The only thing that was a bit of a problem was the amount of stairs we had to go up in order to get to our room. Fine for my husband and I, but my friend struggled as it was 4 flights to our particular room. We would recommend the Trelawney to others, just be sure to mention if the stairs would be a problem

Rooms tidy and the beds comfortable (unlike the ones in a large hotel that rhymes with 'rinse' that we stayed in the night before). Staff were very friendly and breakfast was good too.
