Our host could not do enough for us including booking a local restaurant for us and also providing transport so that we could both have a drink as we were celebrating an anniversary, the breakfast was lovely and the room had a really nice feel and was really comfortable. We will stay there again
Amazing B&B ,very caring staff ,i wish during whole my life i stay in this type of B&B during my travelling
I coudnot find any negative point
Friendly hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble. A characterful and well-appointed establishment - large, fluffy towels, good quality bedding and a generous breakfast with fine ingredients.
Welcoming, informative, hotel comforts in a b & b. Attention to detail and an unexpected gem.
We were made to feel welcome.
Not being able to check in till 5.30 pm. No TV or radio in bedroom. no home comforts.House felt cold and lounge needed a clean. Did not stay for second night as booked .No refund
Lovely, friendly owner Loraine made us very welcome and did everything she could to make our stay the best it could be. She made an extra special effort to accommodate our dietary requirements and made us a lovely veggie breakfast. Gorgeous house, room was like that of a five star hotel!
Really friendly and welcoming owners who couldn't do enough to assist our stay. They were very helpful in sourcing a taxi for us and the breakfast was delightful :-)
It was lovely. Some parts of the house are quite dilapidated...a work in progress. The rooms we used were beautiful. The shower was huge and really stylish. Lorraine was really polite and helpful without being too fussing. We loved this place and will definitely come again. The standard of bedding towels etc was 5 star.
There was a slight smell of dog in the hallway but we later didn't notice it at all. The room was fresh and very clean. There was a dog in the house barking a lot when we first arrived but we never heard it again. You can hear mild roadway noise with the windows open, but it's very slight. The breakfast was really good but I was surprised it was margarine and not butter served.
I stayed at the house with my mother. The bedroom was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was very nice. The lady of the house was very helpful and guided us to some local pubs for evening meals, nothing was too much trouble for her. She was anxious that we our stay was uninterrupted as she was concerned we might have been disturbed by her other guests who came in late and were noisy but we didn't hear them. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well. I would go back if I am in the area again.
There was nothing not to like, it was great.
Very friendly owners and helpful. Like a home from home
The fact that they accept pets run a close first to the warm and sincere hospitality. I arrived relatively late and had slight trepidations about our reception. I need not have worried. The room was cavernous and fresh. The bed equal to the room and itself the size of a small Welsh village! The bathroom was big too and everything was easy to hand. There was a nice touch about the Tea making facility. Real biscuits were up for grabs but my M&S ginger nuts got me quickly fed with a cuppa. I was offered the full English brezkfast and normally thats my default choice and went to bed with that in mind but Catholic guilt got the better of me and in the morning I had a change of heart and opted for the lesser , lighter Continental version. Life is full of regrets and maybe this one will creep up on me one day? The breakfast was elegant and comprehensive and set in a lovely room full of character as indeed the whole house did. We left with a fine farewell and who knows, if ever that way I would go out of my way as my hosts went out of theirs.Lovely kind folk.Hope more people take the trouble to visit as its slap bang in lovely undulating countryside.
House is amazing and has a fantastic history. Excellent local pub and owner more than happy to book a table for us.
A little tricky to find although that is actually in it's favour as it feels like a secret hideaway.
The warm wellcome and very friendly Atmosphäre.
Nice welcome, charming couple, nothing too much trouble, comfortable, relaxing, quiet and great breakfast.
Excellent, extremely pleasant and helpful couple who run Trelough House, couldn't do enough for me, right from welcoming tea / coffee on arrival, (complimentary). Lovely old building, 1730's especially noticeable in interior, (e.g. wood floors),lovely character building but rooms up-to-date with modern bathroom facilities. Plenty of cupboard / drawer space to unpack, often a main point of criticism in other B & B / hotels. Lovely garden and location.
I didn't have any dislikes, excepting a rather musty atmosphere in front lounge where tea and biscuits was supplied on arrival. This was NOT noticeable in remainder of house, bedroom or breakfast room. TV was not supplied in my room which was a bonus for me, not a negative, though others may not feel the same.
Very nice couple in a glorious period house and large breakfast.
It would have been easier to locate if the internet had had a simple description - the north village roadside name is clear and the house is hidden just behind some trees adjacent.
Warm and friendly owners. Clean and comfortable. Excellent breakfast everything you could wish for. Very informative on the local area. Lovely garden.
We have just spent a wonderful weekend using Trelough House as our base to explore the surrounding area. From start to finish truly excellent!
Made to feel very welcome on arrival. Lovely, large room with a comfy bed. Beautiful, quiet location (once you can locate it!) but close enough to enjoy Hereford.
Wifi is only available in the dining room.
Owner was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. Room was a good size, very clean, good bathroom, bed comfortable.
We were delighted with Trelough House. It is a wonderful place to stay.
Really welcoming! Nothing was too much trouble. Both Lorraine and Gary made you feel at home and were incredibly friendly without being intrusive. The room was huge and comfortable; the separate bathroom was lovely with a really good shower! The cookie jar was a great touch. Breakfast was fantastic, all you would wish for. Good portion sizes, well cooked and on time. The location was lovely and peaceful. We booked for the Hay Festival - which is approx. 25 mins drive away. However, you can book a cab with a local person through Lorraine. It was £54 for a round trip (which for 32 miles isn't bad at all), so if you're in a group it can work out really good value. There's also a nice pub in the next village around 15 minutes walk away - the church there is well worth the visit. I can't recommend Trelough House enough for a quiet, hospitable retreat in a fabulous location. Enjoy!
Fantastic people, perfect level of attention to make us welcome. Comfy room, clean and warm. Lovely bathroom. Excellent breakfast. What's not to like? :-)
Lovely warm welcome! The owner had even booked a table for us at the local restaurant in case they were full before we arrived. We would LOVE to stay again!
