paying for parking
The location with ease of access to nearby restaurants, shops, cathedral, etc. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with gorgeous freshly squeezed orange juice.
There was a problem with the Wi-fi so we couldn't access. Music from the bar was loud upstairs in our room.
Staff. Room - comfortable though small - fine for a weekend. Excellent breakfast.
Quaint country pub
The whole experience.
The room was warm comfortable and clean. The food was delicious we had dinner one night the soup was tasty and the salmon beautifully cooked. Breakfast was plentiful and a wide choice. Staff friendly and pleasant. Location
Friendliness of the staff, great breakfasts & a good atmosphere.
Room 5 can be noisy, there is a wooden floored passageway that runs along the bed end wall into storage area/office. No car parking which mean't a dash to fill the meter early in the mornings.
Comfortable well appointed room.
Indifferent, bordering on surly service at breakfast - let down an otherwise agreeable experience overall.
spacious room close to station central good food
Great location bang in the middle
There where no clear signs telling you that the carparking is at the rear. The roads are narrow you need to make signs clear to Trents
The team at Trent's were courteous, helpful, friendly and it is ideally positioned in the town centre. The room was clean, well presented but the mattress was a little too soft for me.
Parking was a pain, had to wait a while for a space to come free but probably just Christmas I guess, but you could find yourself with a bit of a walk with your suitcases. You expect some noise from the wine bar directly below but the noise from the adjoining rooms is comical. You can hear conversations, water running, loos flushing. Until all around you are tucked up in bed you are going to be part of their evening.
The staff, the atmosphere, the food and the location.
Nothing to dislike...
A separate breakfast area for guests set up with cutlery, plates, preserves etc and cereals and fruit juice available
The bed was comfortable and clean, spacious bathroom seemed a bit "empty".
I would not call Trents a Hotel. There is no reception, just the public bar. Waitresses helpfull with little experience on how to run a hotel. All rooms upstairs, creaky floors everywhere, impossible to sleep on a Friday night. The wardrobe is actually the cupboard to accommodate tea/coffee making, ironing board + iron, small fridge... no room for cloths. Too expensive for what it is.
The location is perfect for the city. Rooms are well presented and comfortable.
On arrival there is no reception so you take your cases through into the restaurant where people are eating and check in at the bar. Then you walk through a grubby back staff area to the accommodation. The breakfast was poor and did not reflect the previous good reviews.
Location was excellent. Food was superb and the room was exceptionally clean and comfortable.
The evening meal we had there was very good, so was the breakfast. Nice bistro atmosphere in the restaurant although it gets a bit too noisy on Saturday night. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Good location in the town centre for walking everywhere.
The only drawback was the step down as you enter the bedroom. It is dangerous, even if the staff who took us up to our bedrooms pointed it out several times. It's not really very visible when you get inside because it's carpeted with the same colour carpet as the rest of the room and one has to remember that the step is there rather than seeing it. I did not remember the step the 1st time I returned to my bedroom and flew across the floor landing on my back and hurting my right wrist. I hope it's only badly sprained and not broken! We'll keep you posted...
room was good although a bit cramped but the situation made up for it. Large bathroom. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere in bar. No parking on-site but pay and display carpark right behind so easy access although it was full when we arrived so had to wait for a space. Would stay again.
Heating needs to be sorted. Room got very cold when boiler off although good bedding helped during the night. Ask for a room at the back as our room on the front was quite noisy.
Liked everything about the place. Perfect position. Friendly staff - no complaints at all
Only negative was no parking facilities - nearby car park easily accessible but expensive especially if you stayed for a few days
Great food, location right on the high street near to shops and cathedral, we were there on a saturday night and it was a busy day and night in the restaurant, very popular. The staff were all really lovely and helpfull no complaints.
Modern, attractive room with a large bathroom and free fresh milk and juice in the fridge. Excellent free wi fi too. Staff made my breakfast extra early as I was needing to leave and that effort was much appreciated - great service! Thanks.
Venue, bedroom, bathroom, staff, evening meal and breakfast
The remote control for the tv didn't work properly
Perfect location for city trip; Pub downstairs
Room was facing the street, a little noisy in the morning
The location was excellent. We could easily walk to our friends home whom we were there to visit and all over the town. The room was comfortable and clean, the staff helpful and pleasant. I was grateful the bartender refilled our bottle of cold spring water throughout our stay. The complimentary breakfast was very good.
The noise from the bar below our room was very loud but fortunately ended relatively early. We were not aware of the narrow flight of stairs to our room which, of course, meant carrying our luggage up and down.
Very comfortable room and a very central location for Chichester. Also a very good place to eat and lively bar.
Took some time to find the parking.
