No parking . Very noisy late at night if you go to bed before 11 . breakfast was not asked if u want more tea coffee after one cup or juice .breakfast was fair only.
Wonderful comfy room, spotlessly clean. Friendly helpful staff, good food.
The only drawback was the noise from outside drinkers and that stopped at about 2330, we would also avoid Room 5 as the staff corridor runs behind the headboard of the bed so is another noise issue!
Beautiful decor, friendly staff, lovely room, super breakfast!
Very friendly & helpful staff. Excellent breakfast.
Background noise of music until almost midnight though to be fair this should be expected when booking a room above a pub.
I loved the location. The room was lovely and the shower was brilliant - easy to use !
The room was very hot even though a fan was provided. It was an exceptionally hot evening so I am sure this would have been the same wherever we stayed
Staff facilities location menu atmosphere
Staff very friendly and welcoming. Room a good size and with good provisions (fresh milk and orange juice). Breakfast excellent.
Due to location (above bar) it can get a little noisy!
The room was great, nice decor, very comfortable bed and a nicely spaced bathroom.
It didn't bother me, because I'm a night person and was looking for an early night but the out door terrace was noisy until closing time 11.00-11.30pm. This might not please everyone. Also, there were great vibrations from either heavy vehicles passing or train. Not suitable for light sleepers.
room towards the street. Loud by night. Slept bad. :-(
Excellent position for train travellers like us.Plenty of helpful staff always available.Very clean & generally friendly environment.
Room 5 was quite hot at times although there was a fan available.Oddly no cereals on the breakfast menu. These are only minor points - we really enjoyed our stay & will use & recommend Trents again.
All the staff were really helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was cooked to order (not a buffet as is often the case at hotels) and was really good.Very convenient for the sights of Chichester. Service was top rate!
My sister and I booked two rooms at Trents to stay after going to the theatre. Our stay was really comfortable. The staff were really helpful and friendly and the bedrooms were a lovely size and nicely decorated. Breakfast was great with good service.
The only one drawback would be the noise in the morning but we had expected that due to where it is situated and it didn't spoil our stay.
Location in city centre and near rail station; excellent breakfast; stylish décor and tidy room; pleasant and helpful staff; free secure wifi; chilled mineral water and orange juice in room; coat hooks on door
Only just adequate hanging space for clothes and not much drawer space; need to pass briefly through service area to rooms. These are very minor points which did not mar our stay.
location in Chichester
Pay for parking breakfast no cereal fruit or yoghurt Unable to open bedroom window coffee would have liked to be able to pour it myself ie. cafeterie
Food and location
The attitude and efficiency of staff
Although a fan in the room it would have benefitted from air con.
The food was exceptional
Excellent room, good breakfast, pleasant and helpful staff. Despite the negatives we would certainly consider staying there again.
steep stairs, no real place to sit in the evening other than the pub or the room. The rooms on the front are noisy from people and traffic. As a place to stay it is probably best in the winter when you can close the windows and when people are not about late in the night on the street. It was also the height of summer, hot, and Goodwood week, so in the town everyone was out and there were large numbers of people quite a few of whom had drink taken. Trents is a pub and so was very busy all day and into the evening
Very nice and clean hotel, good food. Friendly staff. Recommended!
No free parking daytime.
Room decor and size. Comfortable bed and good shower
VERY hot room. Whilst there was a fan, A/C would have been very welcome.
The size of the bathroom was amazing. The shower was huge. Lovely to have a fridge with complimentary orange juice, mineral water and fresh milk.Ironing board also available in room. The breakfast was excellent - you could choose anything off the extensive menu.We also ate in the restaurant in the evening and everything was well-cooked and beautifully presented. The mainly young staff were friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. Outstanding!
This hotel spoilt us for the subsequent hotel we stayed in, as Trents sets such a high standard.
Beds was comfortable, room was good size, fan in room.
Central location, with parking (payable) at the rear of the property. Food was excellent, Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you. Would go back again for sure. No problem with noise at all.
As previously discussed, the room was fairly warm, but there was a very good fan, which we kept on all night and slept well, so was not a big problem. It was a very warm evening.
