“ Very friendly, outgoing welcome. Made to feel very much at home. Good sized, comfortable room with good facilities (inc. tea/coffee, TV) and view over town to hills. Excellent cooked breakfast (if required) or wide range of alternatives. Large, private parking space behind house with direct access to accommodation (down steps). Highly recommended. ”

Trewan Bed and Breakfast is set in a 300-year-old granite cottage on the edge of Dalbeattie Forest, with immediate access to the forest and 7 Stanes Mountain Bike Trails. A large garden with a gas-fired barbeque is available for guests to use. A hearty cooked Scottish breakfast or a choice of continental options is offered in the large farmhouse style kitchen. Ingredients are sourced from local suppliers, including an award-winning butcher. Free Wi-Fi, a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV are featured in all Trewan rooms, and some feature adjustomatic massage beds. Shops, restaurants and a variety of village pubs can be found in the historic Dalbeattie town, just 5 minutes’ walk from the B&B. The beach of Sandyhills, sailing facilities of Kippford and the seaside cove of Rockcliffe are only a 10-minute drive. Trewan Bed & Breakfast has a lovely homely feel to it & the breakfast was fantastic. I would have no hesitation in staying there in the future.

The host was delightful and breakfast was delicious. Room was more than adequate. Dalbeattie is convenient to Dumfries and the coast, which is quite beautiful.

Trewan is a B&B not a hotel. The lady who runs it is very nice and seems genuinely concerned that her guests are well cared for.

La casa è una tipica vecchia casa di minatori del Galloway ed è una base ideale per visitare il Galloway. Tutto è apparso speciale nel nostro soggiorno, ma in modo particolare la colazione curata con vera passione dalla signora Jennifer. Un servizio eccellente e che non dimenticheremo!
