The staff are friendly and helpful at all times. Meals were cooked and prepared to a good standard with adequate alternate dishes, so good choice. The hotel is warm and comfortable. Externally the garden is charming and compact

On arrival hot water was not abundant but this soon changed. The only criticism with the food was that the hotel had run out of strawberries as so many guests had opted for that dish on the menu. This is unavoidable and not a genuine criticism as shortages happen in the very best of hotels.

Our room was spacious and well equipped. The food ranged from good to excellent. The location is ideal for visiting country houses and gardens in the area.

Staff levels of service was variable from very good to ordinary. E.g. Service at breakfast on one day was awful, taking about 20 minutes to bring tea, also serving warm bacon & egg.

The exterior of Trigony House was beautiful. The view was gorgeous.Staff was accommodating after I complained. I felt bad about complaining but had to.

The conditions were shabby and dirty. I was afraid to sit on the furniture in the lounge area as it was filthy. The whole hotel was dirty. Even the doors were filthy in our rooms. I asked for a twin room, but it was very dirty so they moved us to two separate rooms. They were a little better but not very good. It was only one night so we stayed. I mentioned to the owners that that their description was very misleading. They did not charge us for the nights stay. This is not a 4 star hotel. Very disappointed.

Fantastic quality local ingredients, great breakfast, warm welcome for our dog.

Would like simple offer at dinner, with these great ingredients you dont need to do much eg solway scallops just need butter, garlic and toast not two smears of pimenton and pesto. Stick to more trad food, lovely pies, beautiful meat, beautifully cooked and not messed about. I live in london and can have thiskind of fusion of flavours. What i want in this lovely country house hotel is country house hotel cooking.

Friendly atmosphere of a hotel run by the owners. Very comfortable room. Nice food

Only very minor thing was the difficulty in getting a Wi-Fi connection n my room, but that mattered little

This hotel truly welcomes four legged friends rather than just tolerates them. Millie was fussed more than ever and her being allowed to eat with us in the bar (they even provided her with a sausage at breakfast) was such a bonus. Staff were wonderful and the food was a real treat. Not what we were expecting at all.

Our room was a little dated and in need of tlc. The television was tiny and sat at an odd angle. I do feel that anything truly wrong would have been sorted quickly had we alerted it to any of the staff.
