Room, clean and comfortable. Breakfast, English breakfast was excellent, good coffee and probably the best bacon I've tasted in a B&B. Very helpful and friendly owners. Free wifi.

Although the shower was ensuite, you had to leave the room for the toilet, this was in the single room.

Lovely touches such as the tray in the room that included tea, coffee, wine-glasses, tea-pot. A microwave to make your own supper, which we did.

Some slight road noise but as it was warm we did have the bedroom window open. Having only booked one night!

Warm welcome. Very lovely ground floor bedroom with an amazing courtesy tray . Bathroom also had added extras . Breakfast special . We had porridge , then a continental breakfast with fresh fruits and yoghurt plus croissants . Super ! To die for !

Staying only one night ! Would have loved to stay longer.

What set Troutbeck apart from other B&Bs were the thoughtful touches like the communal facilities: a lounge was available to guest, complete with a microwave to facilitate 'minor self catering' in the evenings.

Through no fault of the B&B, the GPS settings did not immediately lead us to Troutbeck.

Sally and Ian were the most hospitable hosts in a lovely cottage with a relaxing peaceful garden. The breakfast was excellent as was the service. I hope to return in the not too distant future. Thank you for making our stay an absolute pleasure.

Ian and Sally were lovely and couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. They allowed us to have breakfast late and leave later than planned. The rooms were lovely and clean and great facilities

The road to the cottage was closed at night due to repairs to the bridge so we had to walk half a mile. This is a temporary thing though.

Despite being in a small village there was a little supermarket, cash machine, hairdresser and bakery right there. Hosts were bike friendly

Incredibly helpful and pleasant host and hostess - they really couldn't have been more accommodating. They also gave me use of their garage for my motorbike. Great place for bikers and in good location for good roads. There is just nothing not to like about this place.

We had a wonderful stay. It was for 2 nights and wish it could have been longer. It was our first B&B experience in uk and loved it. The place was extremely clean and tidy. I was delighted as I had 2 young kids. We booked the family room which was just nice for 3 adults and 2 kids. The couple who managed the B&B was very friendly and helpful. Would definately go there again. The cottage is about 30min from Keswick but we enjoyed the drive there as it was very scenic. Overall a good and relaxing stay!

    Nothing really negative.
