In a quiet part of East Cliff, this clean, friendly hotel is just a short stroll from Bournemouth's beaches and town centre. It has spacious rooms, a restaurant, a vibrant bar and free parking.

Opened on Queen Victoria's coronation day in June 1838, the Royal Bath Hotel was the first hotel in Bournemouth. It offers 3 hotel restaurants, a health spa and lovely sea views.

all aspects of my stay proved to be enjoyable.
need to put a bath mat in for when showering.
Loved the hotel room was good size,Bathroom very nice.Nice television in the room Breakfast was good size and quality.Staff were very helpful
Only thing I didn't like was the climb up to it.Just wish someone had told us before end of 2nd night that there was another way in
Staff friendly and helpful, food very good and value for money, indoor pool lovely and hotel very clean.
A bit noisy at times with traffic, room was a bit hot and a bit disappointed that afternoon tea was just a pot of tea.
The location of this hotel was brilliant just across the road from the BIC and the seafront. A short 10 min walk through a pretty park takes you into the main shopping area of the town. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable but could really do with refurbishing. A great hotel if visiting Bournemouth and we would def stay here again
We had a enjoyable stay and the staff were very good. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable.
We had to have the windows shut to get any sleep due to the road outside.
Friendly staff throughout the hotel. Location was perfect to the pier and local bars.
Parking & location
Room required refurbishing, the floorboards creaked when walked on and our front facing room collected all the noise of the traffic and late night revellers.
Location great, hotel good, nice inside
Rude member of staff seating people for breakfast, Her attitude was poor
Location was very good
Very noisy main road
Friendly helpful staff. Good food. Location
Parking Reception & bar staff Pool Reception & bar has recently been modernised. Breakfast
Breakfast staff (a smile would be nice) WiFi could be better Check out is earlier than most hotels
Staff friendliness and cleanliness of the premises
Minutes from the beach, gardens and walking distance to the town centre. Staff were very accommodating- moving me to a twin room to share with my friend when her hotel let her down.
No clock in pool, jacuzzi area. No timer on jacuzzi so didn't know how long I had been in there.
location good, bathroom-bed linen-room clean breakfast ok
window frames dirty, hotel very tired, staff not friendly
The location was excellent for usas we had four days at the airshow. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our stay included breakfast which you couldn't fault. The facilities were clean, although could do with being updated. Had use of the leisure facilities which was good except instructions for the sauna need amending to give proper direction.
Our room had the air conditioning unit outside. Couldn't have window open due to noise. Bedroom a bit like a sauna, were given fans which helped. Hotel was generally very warm.
Excellent position Staff very friendly Parking very good
Nothing to really complain
Could not fault this hotel, close to both beach and town centre. The cafe bar food-excellent
No shelf in large bathroom to put was bags on
Very close to the beach and breakfast was reasonable.
Luggage storage is an unused dining room, which is fine, though not the most secure of options. I stayed in the lodge and had problems with access twice, once leaving the building. If the handle outside is not horizontal, you cannot open the door from the inside. It's not a huge deal, except if there's an emergency, but there is a phone you can use to contact reception. The staff were not particularly gracious about this problem.
Good location very close to the seafront. Easy access from carpark 2nd entrance as hotel is located on a hill. Staff were friendly and professional.
Car park was not well organised. Its a small car park and the space could be much better utilised with a proper layout, when I stayed it was a case of squeeze in where there was space. This is a very minor issue but was presented upon my arrival. Wouldn't put me off staying there again. A better shower. The one in my room only had one direction.... Straight down and hotel baths are always small so was a bit awkward to have a decent shower. Again a minor detail and wouldn't stop me from going again.
The location of the hotel is good in relation to the beach and pier. Staff were friendly
The hotel is arranged over a couple of buildings and I was in one that is remote from reception. The rooms are nice but basic but the bathrooms look like they have been refurbished on the cheap. Bath with a shower over, no shower mixer just a manual tap on the edge if the bath. The shower head was not held securely by the holder which meant water was spraying on the wall not me.
Location only 5 minutes from Bournemouth Pier and town centre. On site parking.
Hotel looking dated. Bed was lumpy and room too hot (radiator on in August! ). Shower head off mixer tap and rather scaled up.
Friendly helpful fluent english speaking staff.Nothing was too much trouble.
Honestly no negatives excellent value for money
Central with a fabulous pool, gym, sauna and steam room - not many hotels this well equipped! Excellent rooms at affordable prices - with big windows which open! We love fresh air, not air conditioning!! And it's own spacious car park.
The location is fantastic
The floorboards were so noisy and not just in our room in the hall and room above us, we were woken up at 6am every morning because the personabove us was walking around and the floorboards are so bad, when i had a shower on the first night it was flooding the bathroom floor as he hose was split in several places, however when we complained the next day it was changed. The swimming pool was quite cold, the pillows were not very comfortable
