Peace and quiet Lovely garden Excellent breakfast Home baked bread Helpful staff Wooden frame bed under low sloping ceiling in smallish room - difficult to avoid painful knocks to legs and head. Set choice of vegetables with each dish at evening meal. Tendency towards nouvelle cuisine.

Historic, characterful, lovely garden and grounds, local produce, good choice of beverages in room, fairtrade, great breakfast, helpful staff. We weren't quite prepared for just how low the ceiling beams were for my tall husband and son! The attic rooms had no view at all, just skylights. The bed was too narrow for us, and not level due to the floors so I didn't sleep well. The bed could be leveled with block under the feet on one side.

The location of hotel was very nice, the breakfast we thought was poor, the bed itself we found very small and the rooms were too hot during the night. But the theme of the hotel was very nice The breakfast and the bed was very small

Biscuits with tea & coffee making facilities. Nice lunch before we attended a wedding at the Castle. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back breakfast was one of the best we have every had. The only down side was we had a family above and the child woke very early and kept us awake so we would request a room away from families, also the bath screen was a bit big and when getting out the bath I cut my knee open on the screen bit at the bottom very sharp as they was not enough room to step down as the toilet was too close

The clean smelling sheets, fluffy towels and white company toiletries. No milk sachets in the room for tea, pulling suitcase over the gravel!

I've dined at The Tudor Farmhouse a few times and its always been terrific, on this occassion I stayed as well with my partner, Wow Factor 100%! every small detail was covered even down to the local soap and washroom bits! The shower was amazing - There was a new front of house woman on duty who was so helpful and I wish her well! Thank you Tudor Farmhouse - see you again shortly I hope!

My room was in part of the hotel going back to 13th Century, fascinating. I sent very little time in the hotel, just there to go to a wedding at Clearwell castle. The bedroom was very comfortable and White Company toiletries were lovely. The breakfast service was appalling.I was first into the dining room, second (behind a group of four) for my order to be taken. I had been seated for 25 mins before it arrived, and it was disappointing when it did, featuring a poached egg more suitable as a cricket ball. They were fully booked and knew they would be busy for beakfast:goodness knows how long it took for the tenth table to be served. they really need to rethink their cooking and service. The TV in the bedroom was almost inaudible even at full volume.

We have stayed at the Tudor Farmhouse before, and for a romantic getaway it's hard to beat. Very nicely appointed rooms and an excellent restaurant. It's not cheap - but you get what you pay for. Service is friendly and helpful. The area is beautiful and good for walking.
