The location and the quietness
The breakfast arrangements bit cramped and only one waitress
Not many hotel facilities e.g residents lounge
We thought we may have problems getting to the hotel before 20:00 due to a bereavement but the staff were excellent and willing to stay later so we could check in. Fortunately we made it before 20:00. Room very comfortable, breakfast excellent, short walk into the town, even shorter walk to the cliff lift.
Some guests were less considerate of others and spent most of the early hours of the morning talking and laughing at the front of the hotel, but thats the luck of the draw.
Pretty much everything was wonderful with our stay just could of done with an extra few days stay.
Not a lot extra member of staff at breakfast would make a huge difference!
Nice, quiet and comfortable room. Great breakfast. Off street parking. Only about 15 mins walk to the beaches, pier or town.
Unpretentious, friendly staff, straightforward and comfortable accomodation. Quiet, and a fascinating house.
Friendly welcome. Beautiful surroundings and full of character. Breakfast excellent with quick efficient service. Will definitely return.......
Lovely period features on this Tudor property, very soft comfie bed and good breakfast.
Traffic noise in the morning,
Comfortable room with beautifully appointed bathroom Historic feel of the hotel with all its wood panelling 5 minute walk to top of east cliff lift so no need to drive (15 minute walk to pier)
Water pressure in the shower was quite low Only 1 hour slot for breakfast
Excellent location, beautiful building, very good breakfast
I've never experienced such poor wifi in a hotel. 20mins to download 3 emails and unable to use browser as pages continually timed out. Staff showed no interest in how my stay had been at check out.
The breakfast was really well cooked and tasted great. The hotel is within an easy walking distance of Bournemouth centre, the BIC and even closer to the lovely sandy beach. There is free parking. The hotel has some interesting historic features. Everywhere was very clean. The room and bathroom were good.
Location good, very attractive room.
Very damp and small bathroom. My six foot husband was unable to stand up! Needs maintenance on the roof and gutters.
Everything really the proprietors have thought about everything what guest would require
The decor, value for money, the owner and staff very helpful and friendly, the room was large overlooking the lovely gardens.
