Good breakfast No soundproofing of the walls, so was kept up half the night by the man next door who snored for England!

The building was lovely and the staff were all very friendly. It was only on arrival that we found out that a Christmas party was booked on one of the nights of our stay but we weren't disturbed at all. Our room was quite cold for the first night of our 2 night stay mainly due to the beds being right under the single glazed old window (with a crack in it) and it was also quite compact with only a hand held shower attachment in the bathroom rather than a proper shower.

The food was very good indeed. The reason this hotel gets a poor rating for staff, is because one lady in particular was very rude. I appreciate that they have a job to do, but telling guests that they won't get fed unless they put name cards back on the table, is unnaceptable. We found that throughout our night there, there seemed to be a hurry to get things done and move on. I can only speak for my own experience and not for my colleagues, but the general consenus is we wouldn't use the venue again. Its a shame because the rest of the staff were very nice. We didnt appreciate finding a half eaten packet of biscuits under the bed either. Room 11. Bad water pressure affects the showers too.

Room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel had a wedding party on the Saturday which totally limited our use of the hotel to our room. If we had known about the wedding we would have stayed elsewhere as the Tudor is a small hotel. The only contact we had with any staff were when we checked in, when we were handed our keys and a map and with the breakfast girl who took our order.

Super Tudor house, common areas beautifully maintained. Lots of character, great location for shopping and beach. Cooked breakfasts were delicious and dining room was lovely. Good value for money as very inexpensive. Room very small and angled, difficult to stand up straight in any one place. Ceiling in bathroom too sloped to have proper shower. Carpets were quite dirty, needed a good vacuum.

Look and feel of the hotel with plenty of character. Set in its own grounds with a plesant garden area. Excellent breakfast. Only a 15 min walk to the sea front and pier.

The hotel is in an excellent location, a 10-15 minute walk along the beachfront to the town centre and local facilities. We were made very welcome at the hotel, which was peaceful and provided us with a lovely base for our weekend trip. Breakfast was excellent and the staff are very friendly. Will definitely be staying at the Tudor Grange Hotel again.

The outside appearence From the outset things were not good.we had to ring the bell and wait some time to enter.there is no reception desk.you are left to find your own room.on entering the room we noticed how dusty it was.we paid for the delux room.whilst the size was fine the cleanliness left a lot to be desired.the bathroom was tiny the shower door hits the sink when you open it.i went down to say I was not staying and was offered another room.it was smaller.it was cleaner on the surface but the bed frame and shelves in the bedside cabinets were dusty.also the are no bedside lights you have to get out of bed to turn the lights off.now to breakfast.the portions were small and the egg white wasnt cooked.my scrambled egg was floating on in water so I didnt chance eating it/the staff/owner was invisible.i really recommend you do not stay here.also the toilet was not flushed from the previous occupant.the ceam on the tea tray in the room was off.as this long life cream, how is this possible?

From the first friendly greeting to the just as friendly goodbye we had a wonderful time at this hotel. The proprietor and staff were all helpful, friendly and polite, our room was lovely, the bed really comfortable, the breakfast's excellent and the feel of the whole hotel was one of peaceful enjoyment. An easy walk to the seafront and into town and safe off road parking was even more of a bonus. We would not even need to consider a different hotel if we come to the area again as we feel that Tudor Grange was perfect for us. The icing on the cake was sunshine all weekend, a wonderful break.

Breakfast was good and decor was nice. We were in a basic double room which was adequate although a bit small and not very clean. Would stay there again but maybe in a different room. Handy location for town and beaches.

The house was very pretty and clean. The bedroom we had was at the top up very steep stairs. The room and bathroom was drafty and very small. Staff only arrived 10 minutes before breakfast was due to be served and all the doors to the breakfast room were locked. There fore the meal took a long time to be served and was poor.

“The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. The restaurant and the food were fabulous, brilliant menu from breakfast, Sunday lunch, afternoon tea and wonderful dinners. Even the latte coffee served in the bar came with a home made warm biscuit! The room was comfortable, if a little small, but the sea view was amazing.” Susan, Bedford |
