The outside appearence From the outset things were not good.we had to ring the bell and wait some time to enter.there is no reception desk.you are left to find your own room.on entering the room we noticed how dusty it was.we paid for the delux room.whilst the size was fine the cleanliness left a lot to be desired.the bathroom was tiny the shower door hits the sink when you open it.i went down to say I was not staying and was offered another room.it was smaller.it was cleaner on the surface but the bed frame and shelves in the bedside cabinets were dusty.also the are no bedside lights you have to get out of bed to turn the lights off.now to breakfast.the portions were small and the egg white wasnt cooked.my scrambled egg was floating on in water so I didnt chance eating it/the staff/owner was invisible.i really recommend you do not stay here.also the toilet was not flushed from the previous occupant.the ceam on the tea tray in the room was off.as this long life cream, how is this possible?

The hotel was ideal for my short stay. The owner was most accommodating about my late pm arrival. The room was clean, comfortable, nicely decorated with antique furniture, in a quiet location but within walking distance of the centre. The breakfast was lovely. I would not hesitate in staying again. The breakfast service could have started a little earlier but I am being very picky in finding fault!

Lovely building, friendly staff and a superb location only 5 minutes walk from the beach. This was perfect for our weekend retreat and we will be returning soon. Not really about the hotel more the considerateness of other guests who could be heard late at night in their rooms.

The hotel is lovely, picturesque and very tudorish! Great tudor decor and our room was very large with dark wood panneling and large bay leaded windows, also with huge sleigh bed and sofas, coffee table and large tv. Really nice! Shower room was small but adequate and the shower was lovely. The breakfast room also had great decor and the food was really nice. Very happy with our stay and would definately go again.

The Hotel was lovely, being a Tudor house it had great architecture and character. The staff were very friendly and the room was clean. The breakfast in the morning was served very fast and cooked to perfection. I loved the gardens and every aspect from service to location was exceptional. I will be going again, maybe booking the foor poster room next time so can sit on the balcony during a lovely summers afternoon.

Nice place, good value a bath mat or a grip bar when getting into the shower, as it is easy to slip and hurt yourself

The hotel garden and house are both very pretty. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is good. I would definatelt stay there again. The only things I think could be improved would be in the main hallway and linding, although there is beautiful tudor features, it would be nice to see, fresh flowers and other personal touches. Room 4 was very comfortable but there should be a mirror on the dressing table, putting makup on was difficult in the dim lighting.

A very attractive and impressive tudor-style building with a lovely front garden awaits you when you arrive. The rooms and whole building have a warm and homely feel. My bed was very comfortable and the room had all the facilities necessary for my stay - ensuite bathroom - with luxury toiletries, tea and coffee provided with biscuits, tv, and free internet! I had 3 very peaceful nights with no noisy neighbours. My view overlooked a garden where I was greeted each morning by birds chirping merrily! What more could you ask for! The full-English breakfast was well made and the staff were helpful and friendly. A very relaxing few days' holiday! You cannot check-in before 3pm, which can be a little inconvenient if you arrive early and want to leave you luggage at the hotel so that you can wander around freely. I arrived at 2.30 and there were no staff around to let me in. However, there were benches in the garden and just by the hotel door, so I sat and read and enjoyed the sunshine for 30 minutes.

The building was lovely and the staff were all very friendly. It was only on arrival that we found out that a Christmas party was booked on one of the nights of our stay but we weren't disturbed at all. Our room was quite cold for the first night of our 2 night stay mainly due to the beds being right under the single glazed old window (with a crack in it) and it was also quite compact with only a hand held shower attachment in the bathroom rather than a proper shower.

Room was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Hotel had a wedding party on the Saturday which totally limited our use of the hotel to our room. If we had known about the wedding we would have stayed elsewhere as the Tudor is a small hotel. The only contact we had with any staff were when we checked in, when we were handed our keys and a map and with the breakfast girl who took our order.

Super Tudor house, common areas beautifully maintained. Lots of character, great location for shopping and beach. Cooked breakfasts were delicious and dining room was lovely. Good value for money as very inexpensive. Room very small and angled, difficult to stand up straight in any one place. Ceiling in bathroom too sloped to have proper shower. Carpets were quite dirty, needed a good vacuum.

Look and feel of the hotel with plenty of character. Set in its own grounds with a plesant garden area. Excellent breakfast. Only a 15 min walk to the sea front and pier.
