Nothing not to like!
Fantastic staff, friendly, helpful and genuinely interested in their customers.
Exceptionally situated in the centre of an interesting and charming town. A realale drinkers paradise, 19 pubs and a micro brewery!
Being in the central of town it is noisy at night in the weekends up to midnight!
Friendly and helpful staff, very local location and value for money.
The room the bathroom.. there was no veiw except for a back yard and the noise from the pub next door went on till late.and the compressors for the fridges were very noisy. the dvd player in the tv didnt work. there was no beer on sale despite offering real ale in the advert. the steak orderd for dinner was blue .very rare... i asked for medium. The orange juice offered was poor as was the breskfast.
? Can't really think of anything we liked .
Had a real historical atmosphere and the staff very helpful.
Apart from the holes and gaps around the bathroom door - legacy of the aged nature of the building - was the fact of poor sound suppression from the rooms above. The occupants were obviously enjoying themselves well into the early hours - nudge nudge wink wink!!! Also the fact that the hotel was not manned from 2300 until early next morning was a surprise although contact telephone numbers were available for emergency use only. Not something I have experienced before in a hotel.
Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Location within the town excellent and parking proved no problem given the hotel does not have it's own facility. Breakfast was excellent although we had to keep asking for more toast - which was always forthcoming.
Can't think of any bad points for our 1 night stay
Staff very friendly and help full.
no probems at all.
I was helped up the stairs with my luggage, without even asking.
The hotel is on a main road which I didn't think would be a problem being such a little town but turns out there are some "motor enthusiasts" that frequent the road which made for unexpected noise in the room not hotels fault just worth knowing if you are planning to relax
Beautiful character building lovely attentive staff. Spoiled my friend for his birthday, genuinely interested in our trips during our stay
would benefit from a fire or stove in bar--not very cosy
great location.friendly staff + owner. great breakfast.
Great value, good location and friendly staff great choice for evening meals
Very friendly staff
our room on top floor was very small with walls made out of paper!
Very nice breakfast with excellent service. comfortable bed and very warm room.
The place has bags of historical character whilst delivering modern comforts and convenience in a great central location, but it is the level of service delivered by the management and staff that make this hotel stand out. Nothing is too much trouble. We will definitely be booking again.
Friendliness of landlord; historical features; cooking
No parking close by and the stairs to the second floor were a bit precarious after a few wines!
Fantastic old building, comfortable bar area. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Really nice breakfast.
The staff are very helpful and friendly, the room was clean and excellent for the price which included a very good full English breakfast.
Bathroom freezing. .
The only downside was the lack of secure parking. I had to park a short distance away at a local roadside car park. Despite my concern regarding this, I experienced no problems whatsoever.
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel most welcome by the delightful lady who was in charge on the Thursday evening / Friday morning. She could not have been more professional and extremely helpful, even helping with our baggage up the stairs! The special request I made on booking was achieved by the Hotel. The breakfast choice was varied and cooked to perfection. Again the same lady looked after us extremely well. A thoroughly happy and satisfying visit. I would recommend this Hotel unreservedly.
Unmanned betweeen 11pm-7 am, but i should have read the small print - although felt safe as most rooms were booked.
Welcoming and helpful staff. Spotless and comfortable room. Car parking facility at the British Legion and location of the hotel. Food very good.
Tiny rooms, very small beds, very noisy pub next door and no breakfast on the first day at agreed time.
Market Drayton is a very nice place
Very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again.
I unfortunately was given a room that was in diet earshot of a pub/bar that is next door. There are no staff on the premises later at night so I was unable to change room. At midnight I ended up finding the number of the pub on the internet so that i could call them to find out what time they closed. They closed at 2.00 am and the beer garden was open until 01.30. The noise was horrendous. I mentioned this to the manager at breakfast the next day and it's clear that they have an ongoing issue with the pub. The manager admitted that there were some rooms that they couldn't sell on certain nights. I have asked for a refund as I don't think I should have been sold this room but 4 weeks later I've not the refund.
