Location , super breakfast, attention to detail, quirkiness of our orient express room, not for everyone ,as you have to climb to top bunk!, breakfast was superb with local produce

Nothing really, trains passing did not bother us ,but might annoy some

We had a lovely time from the moment we stepped through the door. Sheila is the perfect hostess, and couldn't do enough for us.

The occasional train passing by at night, may not suit everyone.

Sheila was a delightful host, hugely helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.

before booking i saw a photo of a bunk bed online, so i called to ask if they had a room, reply was yes .. . i asked if it was a bunk bed . . . reply was no. they don't have bunk beds. well i was allocated a bunk bed in a tiny room . . . for £75 which i wasn't too impressed with.

Bob and Shelia were so accomodating for all of our needs, we were doing the Yorkshire three peaks, they ensured a continental breakfast was available for us, and also had a dinner ready for us when we returned. All the food and drink was amazing (local beers on offer!), and the service was personal without being too 'in your face'. Would definitely stay again.

Trains passing in the night. Although they were infrequent enough to not be a real concern.

Unique setting by the side of the railway line, really interesting to read up on the history of the place. Very friendly hostess in Sheila, made us welcome from the moment we arrived - lovely tea and cakes in the converted station waiting room, good breakfast and evening meal. All in all a great place to stay and would be happy to return and recommend to friends.

Tudor house is a delightful place to stay. Surrounded by the scenic Yorkshire countryside, it provides a cosy and comfortable retreat after a long day of walking. The Swanedale room was especially lovely with its tasteful modern decor, luxurious bathroom, glorious views of the Dales and all the amenities provided for a comfortable stay. The lounge is a cosy hub where you can sit by the wood fire at the end of the day sipping on tea. The delicious home cooked breakfast is just about the only thing that could draw you from the heavenly comforted bed! Fresh produce, a variety of options and all served with love. Dinner is also available upon request. The owners, Bob and Sheila are wonderful hosts and I would definitely recommend staying at Tudor House if you wish to experience a taste of true northern hospitality.
