Everything about Tudor House was perfect from the moment we arrived Sheila made us feel very welcome even providing us with tea and cakes upon arrival, Everywhere is spotlessly clean our room was very modern with everything you need. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and the full Monty is highly recommended. All in all we had a very pleasant stay and Tudor house is a credit to Bob and Shelia
The fact that it was an old railway station made it a quirky layout but all the better for it. Bob and Sheila were very welcoming. Kippers for breakfast was a bonus.
Hosts were so friendly. Loved the tea and cakes when we arrived. We stayed in the deluxe rooms which were beautifully decorated.
The owners were very accomodating.Wished I had known about Tudor years ago when I assisted Railway photographer. Breakfast is of a very high quality and general ambience of the hotel is one msde for any photographer or dales walker even allowed pets. Will go again. But in larger room.
The Littondale room is very small although we knew what to expect before booking. People must accept railway traffic noise after all it was and is an old restored railway station.
Bob and Sheila were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble for them. The Wensleydale bedroom was first class with superb views of the dale and railway!
The novelty of the room made out as a railway carriage, small but well appointed. All though it was next to the railway track the trains didn't impinge upon your sleep.Very comfortable beds and plenty of free bees. The breakfast was excellent.
Could have done with another small comfortable chair in the room.
very helpful and attentive staff comfortable surroundings excellent food friendly atmosphere
Our hosts were keen to make sure we had everything we needed, which we did. Facilities were modern, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was extensive in range and very high quality Location was interesting and convenient for touring this area.
Make sure you read the cancellation conditions before booking. Not a problem but something to be aware of.
Relaxed atmosphere, hosts who really wanted our stay to be an enjoyable one. Breakfast and evening meal were excellent. Cosy lounge, log burning stove and general ambience of the B and B led to us having a perfect weekend.
Warm and friendly welcome and nothing was too much trouble for hosts Sheila and Bob all weekend. Found we had been upgraded which was nice touch for our anniversary weekend. Room with great views, facilities and we slept well in the comfy bed. Tasty and substantial breakfast (porridge was perfect). Loved the history of the place even though we are not rail enthusiasts. Located well for all Dales places of interest. We are hoping to return with friends soon.
Leaving to come home!!
Breakfasts Location Friendly owners Nice room
Bed was a bit soft Not much else
Very impressed with all aspects of our stay, the service and facilities were excellent.
Lovely friendly and relaxed. I stayed with my son in the twin room which was done out like a railway carriage!
Driveway to house could be levelled out. Underside of car bottoms out!!
We loved our stay at Tudor House. Set In a beautiful location a very unique building. Sheila and Bob are very welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble. Comfortable bed, lovely breakfasts. We would recommend Tudor House without exception.
There was nothing we disliked!
Location , super breakfast, attention to detail, quirkiness of our orient express room, not for everyone ,as you have to climb to top bunk!, breakfast was superb with local produce
Nothing really, trains passing did not bother us ,but might annoy some
We had a good stay breakfast great.
Only thing we disliked it was very cold in the house no heating.
friendly staff dog friendly superb breakfast
no pub within easy walking distance
We had a lovely time from the moment we stepped through the door. Sheila is the perfect hostess, and couldn't do enough for us.
The occasional train passing by at night, may not suit everyone.
We like the friendly helpful owners who love to please , and the Full Monte breakfast.. The area and scenery is fantastic.
It's all been said. Lovely place to stay and even better if you like trains. Everthing you need and more. Well located for walking and plenty pubs and restaurants nearby. Sad to leave. A+
Sheila was a delightful host, hugely helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.
before booking i saw a photo of a bunk bed online, so i called to ask if they had a room, reply was yes .. . i asked if it was a bunk bed . . . reply was no. they don't have bunk beds. well i was allocated a bunk bed in a tiny room . . . for £75 which i wasn't too impressed with.
Stay was excellent Sheila & Bob were very good host couldn't have asked for more.
