St annes is perfect place for family break with the option to travel through to blackpool or the shops and cafes in lytham. St annes is a place my small children love due to the sandy beach and amusement at the pier lots of memories to be made.

Pretty place, no drama, good choice of food places including vegan and gluten free options, pretty much any shop you'd need, great seaside location to get fresh air, things for families to do, great choice of places to stay.

Been too Lytham & Lytham St Anne’s x3 now.

Been too Lytham & Lytham St Anne’s x3 now. Hubby absolutely loves it there & the beaches are lovely (though I’m not a lover of sand). There are plenty of restaurants, pubs/bars & shops too suit all pockets & tastes. We’ve walked from Lytham St Anne’s through to St.Annes on Sea (where the Windmill is) & then round to Lytham square where there are lots of places for a drink & meal, after stopping at a local bar with pub grub (The Railway). So yes I’d recommend. Beaches are safe, there’s a small funfair, & plenty of garden’s (e.g. Ashton’s Park) & if it rains there’s a cinema & an indoor pool. So also plenty to keep kids entertained. The bus service is pretty regular although it can be confusing if you are new to the place - we would have gotten bus into Blackpool (if a local hadn’t told us) instead of into Lytham Square where we were going for a meal at the ‘Olive Tree’, 54 is also good as are Allegria (in St Anne’s) & The Anatolia Sky (on sea front). The chippy near the pier is also good (& cheaper than what we pay at home for fish & chips) with big portions.

We walked to Lytham one day and to Blackpool and back the next, even in not so good weather but St Annes is right in the middle of the two. The town itself is lovely and with plenty of charm and plenty of nice pubs etc. We had a lovely fish supper in the "St Annes Fish Restaurant", very reasonable and delicious. As it was off season, not too busy but thats how we like it. A trip to the "Island cinema" was a pleasant change on a dreary day.

There sems to be confusion between Lytham St Annes and Lytham. These are two different locations, Lytham being south of Lytham St Annes. The White House is ideally situated for both locations. Lytham has a charming shopping centre and is particularly good for street cafes.

We Stayed in the Queens Hotel Lytham attention to cleanliness was very poor, stair case carpet is very dirty with a smashed window, We stayed in the Queen Victoria room the room was musty the bathroom has mold around the bath and dirt marks under the radiator which could easily be cleaned, also the four poster bed is very hard and creeks every time you move we paid £190 for one night. Not value for money

Clean spacious room, loads of tea/coffee/milk provided and even biscuits. Unlike most hotels the room had proper lighting as well as reading lights over the bed. Plenty of sockets with USB ports as well. The owners couldn't have been more friendly. Excellent breakfast freshly cooked to order as well as cereal/continental items available. Lovely fresh coffee as well. Excellent location, a few minutes from the buses to Blackpool and Lytham.

Lovely hotel and we were upgraded to a very spacious suite which was a lovely surprise. However, I had typed in "Lytham" when searching for somewhere to stay and did not check the map (my mistake). The hotel is very far from Lytham centre itself so we were a bit disappointed. The beds were very firm and breakfast a little slim on choice but staff were friendly and Christmas decorations were very festive

Our room was spotless, lots of tea, coffee and biscuits on hand. The bar area was lovely and cheerful. The Christmas tree was exceptional. We only ate breakfast in the hotel, there was a lot of choice. I had the eggs benedict which was amazing. All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel had an amble sized car park and it is situated right in the center of Lytham.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent restaurant facilities. Comfortable and spacious. Well designed and decorated. Same for the bedroom. Really nice, tasteful and luxurious. The en-suite appeared to be brand new. Everywhere exceptionally clean. All the staff were outstanding. Exceptional views over the estuary particularly at sunrise and sunset. Only about 50 yards from Lytham High St with its lovely shops.

The host of the property was Superb. Nothing was to much trouble and room was immaculate. Breakfast was superb and the location was superb. For a short golfing break it is ideally located for all the main 4 courses and is located to near to the sea and Lytham itself. We will be returning.

The location is fabulous, on the promenade road, overlooking the beach and sea. Only around the corner is the main shopping area of Lytham. Friendly reception staff. Plenty of parking in hotel car park and no charge. Good selection of beers and bar staff have a friendly manner.

Breakfast was good. Was disappointed about parking at the hotel as very few spaces and all were taken. Had to park in council car park. No facility for 24 he parking. Had to move car before 9am following day. Maximum 2 hr parking on road opposite hotel !
