We were made welcome from the moment we arrived. The room was just right, with an excellent en suite. The food was good, especially the breakfasts. Compliments to whoever did the Christmas decorations, very tasteful and very pretty.
Our bedroom was lovely with lots of nice little finishing touches. We ate in the hotel both nights we were there and the food was delicious. All in all a pleasant stay and would recommend The Tudor Lodge to anyone.
We didn't dislike anything.
Bed was very comfortable. Food was excellent (particularly the Bacon)
Toilet paper was very rough for such a good facility
The local pub
No Wifi, Toilet seat moved and felt it would snap, toilet paper the cheapest available, no bath sheets, food overpriced as it was all frozen, no locals to chat to, drink prices excessive
Staff extremely friendly and helpful. The facility was spotless and food excellent. The place was lovely and peaceful. We would definately stay again!
The room was fantastic with a nice big bed that I could literally sink in to. I was going to be leaving before breakfast due to work commitments in the area and the staff were great, furnishing me with a full packed lunch for the day and allowing me to check out the night before
pub great place food fab room first class
no taste to the vodka to weak so we changed to white wine it was a good drink
The rooms were very comfortable with a countryside view. I was impressed to see fruit/herbal teas in the room, I have never stayed anywhere that had this. Restaurant was lovely, serving good food and the log fire in the bar area was very romantic!!
Dirt on tiles in the bathroom and some mould around edges. Broken lamps in restaurant and paint on the window, just needed a little attention to detail.
Friendliness of staff. Cleanliness and very comfortable.
Could not fault the Tudor Lodge in anyway. I have traveled around the country and stayed in many hotels, would place this hotel within the top 3 places to stay. The rooms are large and very well presented. food is excellent (breakfast is very large!!)
very good food very clean and cosy
Everything about Tudor Lodge is stylish and well thought out. The bedrooms are spotless and cleverly designed, including the bathroom. The breakfast menu was extensive and well cooked. We only ate one evening meal, but that was excellent. The whole stay was a joy.
The cleaners overall was a bit too jazzy for my taste.
rooms very clean and comfortable , staff very polite and helpfull
Stayed in room 3 fantastic room clean nd staff brilliant, food outstanding would definitely recommend
The fact we only stayed one nite
Great customer service and hospitality after a long day.
Good location Vy comfy bed Restaurant on site
We would definatly stay here again if in the area. Could not fault it. They should enter 4 in a bed!
- great food - great service - beautiful room - buidling with a history
- wifi was hardly functional
We stayed in room 2 which is beautiful with a lovely his and her bath. Breakfast and evening meals all to a very high quality and excellent value for money. Very friendly staff and we will definitely be returning.
Rooms were large, nicely furnished and very comfortable. Ensuite with great shower and facilities. Tea/ coffee facilities in room. Great breakfast with nice choices.
Had evening meal which was not great. Had duck which was served with carrots and frozen peas. Garlic potatoes not great either
We don't stay in hotels so picked this pub based on the reviews which were good, and they were justified. Good size rooms, individual items of quality furniture, good decor and very clean. It has recently been refurbished which helps. The staff and in particular Mandy could not have been more helpful, and breakfast was second to none all cooked to order. We visited for the Ironman weekend and Mandy made up a personalised banner to go outside the pub with the names of competitors from the hotel, and gave us all a 5am breakfast! It's all about the customers.
If there is any 'don't likes' it can only be that the food portions were too large when we dined in the restaurant one evening. Not really a 'don't like'!
Lots of choice of walking, swimming and sightseeing.
Narrow single lanes
Beautiful rooms with huge beds which you never want to get out of. Slipper bath with seperate shower. Rooms are roomy and very clean, iron with ironing board plus tea and coffee facilities with an assortment of biscuits. We booked into the restaurant which we had steak, which was absolutely delicious. Breakfast is huge and gorgeous. You can have fruit, cereal, full cooked breakfast or they will do their best to make what you like. This is our second visit and will definitely be visiting again.
The only thing that is negative would be wifi is not very good at all. You can pick it up in certain places though.
