We just needed a place to stay after a stag do. Good size rooms with washing facilities! Close to city centre. Free English breakfaf next day and flexibility when booking! Will definitely be back!
The Breakfast. The Staff
Toilet Cubicle (so small couldnt close the door without lifting toilet lid and seat). Unable to open windows in room.
the staff were ever so helpful and friendly. the breakfast was great; as much coffee/tea/orange juice as you can drink and a substantial breakfast to start the day.
Not so much don't like as just found the room personally a little gloomy and old fashioned but still comfortable. Was woken early by someone upstairs walking around at some ungodly hour. Probably need some attention to the floor boards!
Staff were friendly
Road noise very poor sound proofing dated and tired looking hotel
We had 3 rooms in which the standard was very poor .
WiFi. Comfy bed. Nice breakfast. Helpful manager/proprietor. My room had access through French doors which was convenient for me.
Tiny shower room with toilet - not much room to move. (Washbasin was in bedroom.)
I was allocated the wrong room to start off with, TV didn't turn on and when we asked for help we waited ages only to be casually told they forgot about us, drunk looking staff and an alcoholic say outside with a can of beer, we misplaced our key and then I had the fool of an owner texting me rubbish saying he's taking me to the small claims court over £30 mind, he threatened me with the police who never turned up, so I'm gladly going court to tell the fool where to stick it, honestly for the £50 we paid we now go to the welbeck hotel in city centre which is pure luxury compared to this dive and you get breakfast included there, unless you want common staff and loads of loud outside main road noise avoid it at all costs
It was extremely comfortable and the breakfast was lovely
Comfortable bed, friendly staff
Not very clean, poor decoration, poor location, breakfast not great.
The friendliness of the staff.
The facilities could have done with a upgrade.
Staff Location Helpfulness of staff Free breakfast Comfortable beds
The shower/toilet facilities
The hotel had very pleasant breakfast room and the service and food were good.
Where do I start, Bathroom, there was a over-bath shower but no taps so one could not have a bath. You needed to be a midget to use the mirror over the sink. The door could not close and was almost off it's hinges. The separate loo, You have to stand astride the pan to close the door which hit the pan in so doing. Generally, I found the 24hr traffic noise intolerable. Out of 10 where10 is satisfactory I would give it -3. Would I use it again only if there were no other rooms in the whole of Nottingham.
Clean budget hotel with pleasant staff and a brilliant breakfast
Great Staff Great breakfast Location walkable into town or short taxi
decor/facilities/bathrooms looking a bit tired. Overall good though, especially considering the low cost
Our room had easy access, Allan was very helpful.
The bath room is very small
The hotel was located by a bus stop and there are a variety of shops and takeaways close by.
The service was personal and friendly, the breakfast filling and tasty - more tea, orange juice and toast was offered if required. We were offered a choice of rooms and chose a room with 3 single beds. There is a really nice garden and dining room. The on site parking was really convenient. There is a big supermarket a stones throw away.
The room had a broken wardrobe. The furnishings were old fashioned and the electrics in need of an upgrade - everything ran off extension leads. The TV was un-modern, too high and far away and difficult to change channels. The internet signal was weak. The shower plug was blocked and the showerer tray then filled up really quickly making it difficult for 3 people to showere quickly as they had to wait for the water to tricle down otherwise the shower tray would overflow and flood the room. The shower room itself was worse for wear and need of modernisation.
Excellent value for money, perfect for a group a friends.
Easy to get to centre, regular buses Breakfast
No bath plug
Alan the owner greeted us in a very unusual manner! He said it was fully booked! But what's great sense of humour as he was only joking, he welcomed us extremely well into his hotel.
One of the girls rooms the window couldn't open, the shower was a very basic and almost into the room!
handy for motorway, bus stop o/s. friendly hosts , good breakfast
The room was very dark and facilities were poor. Decor was extremely old fashioned. The toilets were wobbly and there was a damp towel absorbing the dampness in the toilet / shower area. The hotel was very overpriced at £60 a night and I'm surprised they have a business at that price. If you were paying £30 a night then you may expect this level of hotel but it was overpriced, not clean and of a poor standard. I would not recommend it. Only upside was friendliness of staff.
The owner was really friendly and we had a good full English breakfast.
Our room was on a very busy main road so had no sleep!!
Warm, lovely food
Surface was clean but decor needed redoing. Tatty looking. Mould in shower.
My engineers said the guest was not up to standard.
